Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I also added some milk to the meat balls , they were so good and tender. I did brown them a little first to get them sealed. I also added more spices to taste as I went on. As far as bitterness goes, add a little sugar, it is bitter from the tomato paste. My Grand daughter want's it for her 15th birthday next week. I am going to try some Italian sausage with the ground beef.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
We love this recipe, the dressing is the best. Make sure you use the anchovies even if you think you don't like them. Also put some on the salad (chopped). The home made croutons are an important part of the salad. I follow the recipe to a T. Please don't use anchovy paste or store bought croutons.

Christmas Tree Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This recipe has been in our family for years, 45 for my family and I don't know how far back it goes from there. Mother in Law, Grandma etc. We usually use vanilla but I am sure almond would be really good also. If you roll the dough super thin (that is the way we like them but watch the baking time) they will be crisp. If you roll them thicker they will be puffy and soft. I think they were meant to be thin. (about 1/4 inch. Please try. Worth the effort to get them right.

Easiest Egg Nog

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This is the same recipe my Mom alwaysed used and it bring back such good memories. (I am 64) When I bought the kind in the carton I cut it with milk because I am so used to Mom's. I came on line to find just this recipe. I think this is how egg nog is supposed to taste, although I am sure Mom used whole milk back then brought from the milk man who came every other day to put bottles in the box on the front porch. They always added whiskey or brandy to it for themselfs with just a sip for us. Hope you like it, I am going to go make some right now and put a little brandy in it to drink while I cut out my cut out cookies from the recipe from my mother in law which are the best and I will post.

BLT Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2004
We love this pizza, I am eating leftovers as I am writing this. Just popped it in the toaster oven on 400 deg, still good even with the warm lettuce. We always have cooked bacon in the fridge. so I used a rollout pre-made dough from the grocery. I did bake it a few minutes with some olive oil before putting the toppings on. Next week, bbq chicken pizza. Another great recipe.

Kim's Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2003
I am sorry, but we did not like this at all. We ate a little and threw the rest out. For the time it took, I could have made the wonderfull "Cajun Seafood Pasta" recipe. Maybe because it had soup in it and we are not a big fan of recipes with soup mixes and canned. More into all fresh ingredients. Will not be making again.

We weren't crazy about these. I guess we are just too used to the "original" cranberries boiled in sugar and water.
