Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
This recipe was very easy to put together because I had all the ingredients on hand. I doubled the recipe to make a full spice jar. I made tacos with it and they were amazingly good. This seasoning will be used in my household from now on. Thank you BILL ECHOLS!

Funnel Cakes II

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
FANTASTIC! Just like what you get at the fair! I didn't have a funnel so I cut the corner of a zip-lock bag after I poured in the batter. I found when making them to keep space as you drizzle so you do not get clumps. I used two spatulas to make turning them easier. When draining on a paper towel, be sure to dab the top or turn them over. I used Crisco oil as I feel it makes food less greasy. Thank you Sally for sharing this FANTASTIC recipe!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
PERFECT! I made this according to the recipe and it was perfect. I used "light" mozzarella sticks and had no mess. I followed the instructions and only fried 30 seconds. The bread coating was so delicious that I went back and double coated the remainder. I froze some of the sticks to be used at a later date. This recipe is a "keeper"! Thank you Nanci Renn for sharing.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
GREAT recipe! No changes to the recipe were made or needed. I used a zip lock bag to marinate, turning it over every so often to get good coverage. I added bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and fresh pineapple chunks, which I did not marinate, to the skewers. Thank you simmig for sharing such a GREAT recipe!

Citrus Ice

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
AWESOME! I doubled the recipe and used fresh fruit that I put through my juicer. I'm glad I did because every stir cried out for a taste! The taste and texture was awesome. I'm going to make it again and freeze overnight as I feel it would make a fabulous sorbet. Thank you Taste of Home Test Kitchen for an AWESOME recipe!

VERY MOIST AND FLAVORFUL! This was a nice change from barbeque sauce. The cooking time was perfect. I followed the recipe exactly as written. Hubby and I both really enjoyed them. Thank you RMT for sharing this very moist and flavorful recipe!

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
FANTASTIC! This recipe comes out so tender and moist. It's not only great tasting but it sets your day free to do as you please. Whenever we vacation, I pack the crock pot and several boxes of onion soup mix. Any type meat will work. Thank you Marie Thomas for sharing!

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
EXCELLENT recipe! This has always been our favorite chocolate chip cookie. Because I usually buy the large bag and keep the chips in a canister, I was happy to find written on the bag that there are 2 cups of chips in a 12 oz. bag. I left the nuts out because that is the way we like them. The baking time is perfect. This recipe has been in my life for as long as I can remember. Thank you Nestle for an EXCELLENT recipe!

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: May 8, 2010
PERFECT! I needed to make deviled eggs for Mother's Day and forgot to buy them ahead of time. This recipe saved the day! I have never been able to peel fresh bought eggs. I followed this recipe to a "T", even measuring the water. It worked perfectly. Thank you Ken for sharing this PERFECT recipe. I raved about this recipe to my daughter. We used it while making our Mother in Law eggs for a party. The eggs wouldn't peel. Perhaps she didn't measure as carefully as I did...the solution is we put them in the freezer for 5 minutes and they peeled like a charm! If an egg gives you a problem try the freezer for 5 minutes.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
AWESOME! This definitely tasted like a cinnamon sugar donut only bite size. I used butter as I didn't have any margarine and they were "Oh so good"! They took such little time to make. Hubby loved the little crunch they had. Thank you Diane for sharing this AWESOME recipe!

Rainbow Clown Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
AMAZING! I made this for my grandson's 12th birthday and cannot wait for him to cut into it. He will be so surprised and I know he'll be calling it clown vomit to all his friends. Thank you LTH for sharing this AMAZING recipe and helping to make his day special. UPDATE: My grandson loved his cake but the most surprising factor was the adults went "bonkers" over it!

Jellybean Bark

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
This recipe makes for such a CUTE NOVELTY TREAT! With our family Easter egg hunt coming up soon, I experimented a little bit. I used a metal cookie cutter, which I heated with a hair dryer, to cut through the white chocolate. The jelly beans had to be placed carefully to be sure they would be in the area desired. Any coating not used was remelted. After a taste test, I am sure the kids are going to love them. Thank you Christina for sharing such a CUTE NOVELTY TREAT!

Lasagna Roll Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2010
VERY GOOD! I added oregano, parsley, and basil to the cheese mixture and skipped the tofu. I did not add sauce to the noodle layers because I prefer it without. (I used the extra sauce on top.) I only wish I had saved some of the mozzarella to sprinkle on top with the parmesan. It was VERY GOOD and I will be making it again. Thank you BETTIE for sharing your recipe!

Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
EXCELLENT! I cut the recipe in half and only made the coconut eggs as I had already made peanut butter ones prior to finding this recipe. After dipping the eggs in chocolate, I placed them on parchment paper to dry before putting them in paper baking cups. I used a bag of chocolate wafers I had for the coating. The coconut eggs were EXCELLENT and I can't wait to try the peanut butter ones. This recipe definitely makes it easy to have both. Thank you Joan Zaffary for sharing.

Peanut Butter Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
The eggs were too dry to hold together. I followed the recipe to a "T". With it's rating, I didn't think I would have to read any reviews. It seems many agree. I was able to save it by following reviews.

Broiled Scallops

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
This recipe was "melt in your mouth good"! I used fresh sea scallops straight from the wharf in Cape May. Because they are bigger than bay scallops, they took a little longer to broil. I used garlic powder in place of garlic salt. I only used half the amount as I didn't want to mask the flavor. The scallops were so tender, dipped in butter, they just melted in your mouth. Thank you Gail New for sharing your recipe.

Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
Easy shortcut. I made this blend with plans to use it in Shrimp Creole as suggested by another reviewer. I left out the cayenne pepper because I want to be able to add different amounts to different recipes. This way I can adjust the "heat" according to who's coming to dinner. Thank you JOSLYN for sharing your recipe.
