Linda's Monster Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
These are a very good cookie! I dislike margarine so used all butter in these. They came out chewy and the taste was good. We will more than likely make again.

Scotcharoos

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
As written a 3. I made these twice, the first time they were hard as a rock. I then modified adding some butter to the mix and they were nice and chewy. With the changes I would rate them a 4. We liked them but have used other versions we like better.

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
For what this is it's pretty good! I did add black olives and left out the green pepper since the kids won't eat it. Next time I make this I will add a little pizza seasoning to it since its a little bland.

CINfully Delicious Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2012
These are fabulous! They are very light and fluffy in texture and the flavor is so well balanced with the chocolate and cinnamon. I did use heavy cream instead of the milk in the frosting since I like a more whipped texture. I will be making these again and again. Thanks LTH for another stunning cupcake!

Fiber One® Chocolate-Peanut Butter Haystacks

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
These were pretty good considering they were made with a cereal I am not a big fan of. I made them with my five year old who helped me shape them into hearts for valentines day. He had a blast and enjoyed them but commented that he likes the one with the chinese noodles better.

Rich Butterscotch Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
I was pleasantly surprised by these. I love butterscotch but I know sometimes in baked goods it can get overly sweet. These were the perfect balance! The filling was creamy and plain which let the crust shine without putting you into sugar shock. I will make these again!

JoeDogg's Spicy Red Beer

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
This is ok, not something we would make again. The flavor is good but neither my husband or I enjoyed the carbonation of the beer with the tomato juice. I guess we are Bloody Mary purists and it's not necessarily the recipes fault.

Gingerbread Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
These were pretty good. I do wish they had more bite to them. If I make these again I will add some cloves and some fresh grated ginger to them. I topped them with lemon curd and fresh whipped cream.

Cindy's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
I am not sure what I thought I was going to get when I made this. One thing I was sure of is there would be one at the table to complain. To my surprise everyone in the house not only ate this but loved it. It was mild and not too spicy which is great for the kids. The hubby just doctored his up with extra Cajun seasoning and tobasco. The flavors were wonderful. This was asked to be put on the dinner rotation from now on. Thanks Cindy for giving me a meal with no complaints, hard to do with an opinionated 5 year old.

Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
I am rating this based on the change of oil to 1/2 cup. It was perfect with the change. It was not heavy but not super light, instead the perfect crumb for a bundt cake. I did use vanilla pudding with the lemon cake as that's what I had on hand. I will be making this again. My grandma was in love with it. I topped it with vanilla glaze from this site.

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
Made as written 4 stars. Add more milk and then it's 5 stars. It was way too thick but once I added more milk it became the consistency I needed for my bunt cake. The flavor was great!

Eggnog French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
This was a hit! I had some leftover eggnog and a loaf of homemade French bread that needed to be used. I decided to make this and freeze for quick breakfasts for the kids. Everyone loved it! It wasn't very sweet and the flavor of the eggnog shined. We will be making this a holiday tradition when eggnog is abundant.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
I am only rating the cookie part as I did not make the filling. The cookies were very good. The texture was great with the oatmeal. Not too peanutty, just right.

Meadowwood Tapioca Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Made this as stated. I am not a tapioca fan but figured our littlest would love it. I was right he devoured it. I tried some and actually liked it also. It was very smooth and creamy. The tapioca was done perfectly and the texture was fabulous, one of the reasons I didn't like it in the past. I also have a newer slow cooker but did not have any issues with it.

Refreshing Cucumber Salad

This was just ok. It needs some more things added so it's not so bland tasting.

Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
This recipe has potential but it was very grainy and a little too much like eating flavored whipped cream than mousse. If I make it again I will be tweaking it to resolve some of the things we disliked about it.

This is so lemony and creamy! I make the inside part for all kinds of desserts. My husband loves to put this on angel food cake.

Chocolate Glaze I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
This is not a recipe I would make again. I prefer a thinner glaze with more flavor. I agree with others that it was too thick and it tasted like melted chocolate chips.

Honey-Wheat Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
These were ok but a little bland. I added cinnamon to them and it helped a bit. They were filling but if I am going to eat a muffin I want it to excite me. The texture and flavor was close to corn bread.

French Bread

This bread is perfection! The bread is so flavorful and the crust is crispy and the inside is tender just like it should be.
