Pretzel Smoochies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
I let my 5 year old make these, I just helped with the oven. He was so proud of himself! I love these simple recipes that the kids think are so much fun and the end product is a tasty treat.

Dirt Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
We enjoyed this! It was nice to have a variation of this dessert that isn't all chocolate. I will make this again for the kids.

Pumpkin Pudding II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
I made this today and as my kids were eating it they were asking me to make it again. It is sort of like pumpkin pie but without the crust. The flavor was good but for my tastes I would add a little more pumpkin pie spice.

Chocolate Crispy Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
These were interesting but not a huge hit at our house or with friends we shared with. I think everyone has a certain way they like chocolate chip cookies and these were lacking a bit for our tastes.

Witches' Hats

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
Super fun and very easy! My 5 year old made these with some minimal instruction. These would be a fun treat to make as a class project.

Kyle's Cucumber Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
This was pretty good but could use some tweaking with the lack of flavor. Needs a little spice kick. This was much easier to serve as a dip than making individual cucumber sandwiches on rye. I would make this again with some added seasoning.

Zucchini Cheddar Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
These were a huge hit at our house. My 17 month old couldn't get enough. Next time I would serve them with marinara sauce for the kids to dip. I did freeze some for later use and they held up great. Put in the microwave until warm and then toasted them for a bit to crisp them up.

Raspberry Refresher

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
This was ok but it does need some added sweetener if your berries aren't super sweet. I used the carbonated water from my soda stream. I would also strain the berries to remove the seeds.

Peanut Mallow Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
I have been making and eating this recipe for years, a family favorite. These are the perfect combination of gooey marshmallow with the crunchy peanut butter topping. Love these!

Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
This was a good tuna pasta salad. I will make this again but for our tastes I would cut back on the mustard and the onion.

Fruit Filled Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
This was a really good cheesecake recipe, light ad creamy texture. The crust was interesting, sort of like a what you would expect from the topping on apple crisp. I will make this again but I think I would prefer it with cherries or another fruit. The apple was good but would not have been my first pick.

Quick and Easy Root Beer

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
This was awesome! We made the syrup and then our soda stream. We liked this as much if not more than buying root beer from the store. Loved that we could adjust the carbonation by making our own. We also used this for root beer floats. Yum!

Faux-reo Filling

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2012
This was good for what it is but I wouldn't say it's close to the inside of an oreo. It is a very light and flavorful cream cheese frosting. I did add a bit more vanilla to give it a little depth.

So light and refreshing! I love this salad and could eat it everyday. It's also awesome on french bread as a sandwich.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
This is the key lime pie recipe I have been looking for. Not too sweet, not too tart. Perfectly creamy and very flavorful. I made this in a pan and then filled cupcakes and topped them with it for a fun cupcake. I will be making this again for that purpose and also as the pie.

Whipped Cream Filling

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
It is so nice to have a recipe to use when you have to make the whipped cream beforehand or to be able to decorate cakes or cupcakes with before it melts down. I will be using this often. I did add a bit more vanilla but other than that didn't change anything.

Ice Pops

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
These were beyond my expectations. I love that the gelatin keeps the pops from melting quickly and they give them a nice texture. I had been making ice pops out of frozen kool aid and these are so much better and the flavor is intense. I did add two packs of kool aid instead of just one and they were perfect.

Macaroons Con Peanut Butter

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
I made these and let my neighborhood sample them and rate them with me. These were a big hit with the adults and the kids. I wish they didn't get so soggy from the corn syrup and would still hold a bit more of a crunch. Next time I make them I am going to add more corn flakes to make that happen.

Mint Ice Cubes

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
These are so much fun to toss in a drink! I have a mint plant growing or shall I say taking over my yard and I was trying to find some things to do with it. These were awesome in my iced tea and I can't wait to serve them to friends when they stop by.
