Warm Apple Buttermilk Custard Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
This was just ok, I had high hope for it since it was recommended by a friend. I don't mind sweet desserts but this was a little much. It has a great flavor so I may make it again without the topping.

Heavenly 'Apple of My Thigh' Dessert

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
This is so good!!! I didn't have the candy bars so I used chocolate chips and heath toffee pieces. This will be a new treat at our house instead of just plain caramel sauce.

White Chocolate Grapes

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
These were a hit! I left off the nuts do to an allergy and I still think they were that good! My girlfriend loved them and they are better once they have sat in the fridge and gotten really cold.

Kathy's Baked Stuffed Tomatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
These were pretty good. They did get a little watery and if I make them again I will put them on convection roast in my oven to bake them. MIL who is a vegetarian raved about them.

Country Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
We modified this recipe to use some veggies we had in the fridge. I only had 4 eggs so this is how I came across this recipe. It's a little denser than the normal quiche I make. We liked it and will more than likely use it again. If you are looking for a custard like quiche this is not the recipe for you. We used ham, spinach, and mushrooms to replace the bacon and onion since this is what I had on hand. The basics of this recipe allow you to have some flexibility with the recipe.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
I think next time I make this I will add a little more on the spice side but this was actually really good considering how healthy it is for banana bread. The kids still asked for seconds so I consider it a hit!

Deb's Scallops Florentine

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
These were pretty good! Loved the sauce they were baked in. The scallops do not need to be cooked first otherwise they get over done.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
I liked the ida of these and the taste was good but I had issues with the cooking times. The crust took a lot longer to cook and the pecan filling part just wouldn't set and got over done on the edges and not done in the center.

I really liked this but I would cut back a bit on the toffee chips next time for personal preference. I will be making this again.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
I was looking for a way to get some more veggies on the table. This was really good and easy. I used the roast setting on my convection oven and it turned out fantastic. Also use fresh garlic and a little more than stated due to a love for it!

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
We really liked this! I did sub the green pepper for sauteed zucchini due to a an over abundance of it and it's what I had on hand. We will be asking this again soon, a great change from the usual meat lasagna.

My husband picked this to make one night and we enjoyed it. He did add extra pasta to stretch it a little further and it was still really good. We will be making this again.
