Sausage Spinach Alfredo Lasagna

Fantastic! I used homemade alfredo sauce and added some sun dried tomotoes. Also used fresh spinach rather than frozen and just threw it into the sauce. This was awesome!! Add more garlic! :)

Love this pie! To make it lower in carbs I use only a top puff pastry shell on an 11x7 oblong pan. Same satisfying pie with fewer carbs. Also, sub 1T Corn Starch and 1T flour for the 1/3 cup flour. Enjoy!

Raspberry Linzer Cookies

I made these cookies for favors for my wedding. They were a bit of work but they were well worth it!! I made the pastry portions first over a couple of days and froze them. I then put the jam inside and froze them as a sandwich. The end result was a cookie that tasted fresh baked but was not gooey because the jam had set nicely into the cookie. Excellent results!!

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

This is my favorite appetizer. I use a garlic and herb cream cheese and make it in the toaster oven leaving the big oven free for the meal. Do not pre-cook! I undercook it slightly and leave it in the toaster oven on warm while preparing the meal. I also place it on top of garlic toast and sprinkle all with a good olive oil. YUMMMM

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

We loved this soup! Added bonus is that it tastes great using skim milk - no fatty creams but very creamy indeed. I used red bliss potatos and did not bother peeling them making it more nutritious and pretty to look at too!

Easy Apple Strudel

This is easy and absolutely delicious! One of the things I really loved is that since you cook the apples before placing in the pastry, you don't get that mile high pastry empty hole effect! The pastry is full of tasty apples and cinnamon. We just loved this.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Perfect - don't skimp on the anchovy! I actually used a large can of crushed tomatoes, no water and a bit of concentrated tomato paste out of the tube. It is spicy and tastes similar to a sauce that used to be used at a pizza place called Red Boys that was the best ever! I love this!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Best cole slaw recipe I have found with a few changes. I used mayonaise instead of salad dressing and still cut the sugar to about 1/3 cup. I also left out the poppy seeds and substituted green onions for the onion. It was excellent this way. This will forever be my cole slaw recipe!

Grandpa Bob's Spicy Barbeque Sauce

Not spicy at all but super great bbq recipe. The thing I don't like about most bbq is that the meat is drowning in sauce. This recipe gives a nice bbq flavor without the mess and you can still taste the meat. Superb!

Italian Sausage Soup

My very favorite soup. My family calls it "dump soup" cuz all you need to do is dump everything in and Voila! Perfect with parmesan cheese on top...YUM!

Absolutely the BEST mashed potato recipe in the world. I always add a few cloves of Garlic to the potato as we prefer garlicy mash. A KEEPER FOR SURE!!

Basic Microwave Risotto

Almost a 5 star, super good but not as good as the real stuff. I will make this again many times just because it is so simple. Also, making risotto in the summer time is painful at best, so this will definitely be good for summer (no standing over a hot stove for an hour) One warning, DO NOT cut in half. I did and it came out like a burned brick.

Baked Orange Roughy Italian-Style

This recipe is perfect. Easy, tasty, healthy. Everyone I have made it for absolutely loves it. For super tender and moist fish, soak it in a bowl of milk for an hour before preparing. Dry it thogoughly before coating with butter. If you have a cat, they will love the milk!
