Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ok I'm still not a big fan of brussels sprouts. This gets 4 stars because I did at least eat them, the household loved them. I did make one change and added roasted coriander to the short list of ingredients. I loved the bits of really crispy ones.

Sugar Free Christmas Cutouts

I added cocoa to this recipe and made bunny cutouts for my diabetic MIL for easter. No sugar free bunnies to be found. The only change was two table spoons cocoa . I used a splenda cornstarch & fatfree milk glaze to drizzle over them it dried nicely and the cookies were enjoyed by everyone.

Margarita Cake with Key Lime Cream Cheese Frosting

Most awsome cupcake I have made in a year. So glad I gave it a try. Daughter was empressed with the moist cake, before I added the Cuervo via injetor. I made two kinds for my Birthday a doz. with tequila and a doz. without for non-drinkers. I went a little out on a limb with the tequila ones and added salt on top with a wedge of lime as garnish and just green sugar for the non alcoholic ones ,I had to use grated lime peel in the frosting because I had on lemons. The taste did not suffer. Will make again maybe for the southern round-up.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheels

Like Valery K., I too had to add more flour. I also use up so crushed peppermints in the dough. Even thoes who didn't like peppermints ate these with out blinking.

Waikiki Meatballs

He who never gets his way loved this. I make the peppers and onions in a seperate pan with a little evoo and toss in with mine later no onions in the meatballs. Except for that one change recipe stays the same. Wonderful, Thanks for the recipe CMAYBELL

Soft-N-Fluffy Hamburger Buns

Juicy Marinated Steaks

I also used the rootbeer we had on hand. It was a nice change from what I usely use on the steaks. I also had T-bones not rib-eyes I don't know it that matters. We all like the taste of the steaks.

Baked Pork Chops and Gravy

Moist and tender don't over cook chops they are our friends. This recipe is wonderful with or without the gravy. Will never fry another chop. **Up date on this wonderful chop recipe. Out of Pepperidge farm herb seasoned stuffing,I used their cornbread stuffing with some extra rosemary and tyme added in. Made gravy from scratch. Family love it as always.

Fried Spinach

Let me start by say I don't like eggs. Sorry chickens of the world just not on my list of food I will eat. At least not till now. This was wonderful even with the egg in it. I have to say I will now eat egg. Will make it again I'm thinking once a week or so it really was a nice change from the same ol Spinach.

Mock Sour Cream I

“He who never gets his way” aka DH came home from his over the hill check up with bad numbers for his cholesterol and really bad triglycerides numbers, soooo off to allrecipes I go for about an hour finding this and some others to try and make things livable in more ways than one for him, and found a keeper. I killed two birds with one stone here entry for a no picture recipe and something hubby can enjoy and stay on his diet with I used fat free no low fat , added an extra ¼ tsp. of lemon juice and will cut back on the Splenda some the next time. I use my stick blender in a tall glass to blend this; it made it so easy. It tasted better then the store bought fat free sour cream and I can eat the cottage cheese with peaches or pineapple. So it saves me money. Thank you very much Brenda.

Simply White Bread II

This is now my new all the time white bread recipe. So easy I love it. The family likes the bread in a lofe shape so I use the dough cycle, and bake at 350 for 30 min. checking at 25min. to be safe. I forgot the salt and DH did not notice so I now skip it all the time. I use EVOO in place of the vegetable oil. It seems healther to me. All I can say is don't let the short list of ingredients stop you this is good bread, nice smooth texture, toast up well and holds up to PB & J. brush the crust with butter and it wont get hard. Thank you LJSS for a wonderfull recipe.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

I only made one change to the recipe I added I tsp. vanilla extract. My Grandson can not have peanut butter so we use a peanut butter substitute. Called Wow it taste just like peanut butter, made from soy beans that he has no trouble with. We loved this recipe light fluffy cookies 10 min in the oven makes a light crunchie cookie that taste like nutter butter cookies, and 8 min a light softer one. cut like dog bones and the kids call em Scooby snacks. Bread Machine Pizza Dough

I used Guinness extra dark becaues that is what I had on hand. The dough looked like whole wheat lol but it was soooooooo good. Will make this my go to pizza dough from now on. Cutting the budget has never tasted so good. Thanks Kim
