Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2014
This was amazing. I scaled this down to half and did what everyone else suggested and used cream of mushroom. I also added baby portobello mushrooms and worcestershire sauce. I cooked the meat with flour first as suggested then cooked on high for 3 hours. The meat was not dry, very moist and not salty at all. For those who felt the meat broke apart, I suggest you break off a small piece of meat and fry it first then you can see how it holds up.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
I gave this recipe four stars because I did not follow it to a T, but it was still great. What I did was first scale down the recipe, I used a half can of cream of mushroom and a whole can of cream of chicken. I only used 1 can of canned chicken and a half bag of noodles. What I did was cook the noodles for no more then 5 minutes, cooked the onion until softned. While the noodles where cooling, mixed the soup, onion, cheese, milk and seasons (season all, lemon pepper, onion powder, garlic power and a pinch of red pepper flakes). I mixed everything together and poured in the milk slowly. I did not use alot, but enough to make the mixture creamy. I then added the noodles mixed everything together and placed in a casserole dish. I used fried onions on top since that's all I had. Baked it for 30 mintues and it came out creamy. I did not use sour cream as I did not have it and felt I did not need it.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
I changes this around a bit, I added brandy and triple sec and cinnamon sticks to the recipe. I also took out the orange juice and added more sugar. I like my sangria sweet. I also let the fruit soak in just the liquor's with a little sugar and the cinnamon sticks. This recipe is a good start, but with my changes made it GREAT. If you do drink it the way I suggested, please drink it slow, it will sneak up on you later. Hope you enjoy!!!

Cottage Cheese Loaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
I grew up eating cottage cheese loaf, so I wanted to cook it for myself. It is a very easy recipe. For those that feel it's bland all you have to do is add your favorite seasonings. I always follow recipes, but make the seasoning part my own. Just add seasonings to the mixture before adding milk and the egg so you can taste it. I gave it 4 stars since it tasted GREAT due to my added seasonings.

Sausage and Bean Ragout

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I added more beans to the I used one can of kidney beans and one can of butter beans. I also only used one type of meat. I used Italian turkey sausage and it was plenty of meat. I think next time I will cut the meat in half. It gave plenty of meat. I also seasoned it with lemon pepper, accent, italian season and basil. It could use a little more liquid so I will tweek that a little next time, but a great recipe none the less.

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
This was a very simple recipe. I used ground turkey instead of beef and used a pound did not have any sausage. I also used cheese ravoli instead of tortellini did not have any on had. I seasoned everything with italian seasons, minced garlic, lemon pepper, fresh onions and accent. That's my typical seasoning and it came out great. I cooked the sauce for 6 hours on low, added the frozen ravoli, put the cheese on top and cooked it for an additional hour. I will try to use tortellini next time.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
I have to say I am a great cook, and I followed this recipe exact and the cookies came out stickly I could not use the cutter so we had to make them into balls and decorate that. I have never had a recipe fail on me and this is the first. I will never make this recipe of cookies again. I will try something else next year.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
I listened to everyone else and used 2 cans of beef stock and no water. I also used two packets of italian dressing. I only cooked a 2.75 pound of chuck roast and seasoned to taste. I cooked on low for 6 hours, the meat was falling apart. I then shredded it and seasoned it again, I thought it was rather bland. I cooked it for an additional 2 hours on low and it came out GREAT!!!. I grilled onions and mushrooms, put that on a roll with provolone cheese and it's one great sandwich. I do have lots of gravy left so I am looking for things to do with it.
