Moist Yellow Cake

This was a really good recipe, however it's a lot more like a sweet bread than a cake. The flavor and texture, as my husband put it, "is more like that of pumpkin bread, but with vanilla instead of pumpkin". We are still enjoying it...just leaving the icing out because the sweetness of the bread stands on its own. Despite this, I would recommend anyone give it a go..and I'll likely be using this recipe again...though I might add some poppy seeds in. :D

Grandma's Moist Cake

The cake recipe was fairly good. I would recommend using 3 eggs instead of 4, however, because it comes out veeeeeery spongy in the too-much-egg-makes-the-cake-rubbery sort of way. The flavor was a little lacking, but an extra bit of vanilla extract helped that by a long shot.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

This was a good sandwich! We changed it up a little...I rubbed olive oil along the top half of the panini and sprinkled whole rosemary leaves for additional flavor. My husband also added horseradish to his mayo. We only used turkey ham, not turkey and ham, lol. Will be making again. Thank you!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

This was a delicious breading which gave the chicken a restaurant-like flavor that my children appreciated. The chicken itself was juicy and not dry at all. The process was also simple. Like others who made this recipe, I double-dipped the breading to make it a little thicker, which made it twice as good. This has become a regular dish in our home!

Sunday Morning Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes

The flavor was wonderful. Lemon was wonderful, and the poppy seeds made it all come together beautifully! Like the others say, it was a nice change from regular pancakes. I messed up the recipe a little bit because I doubled the recipe - should have only used one egg instead of two, despite the doubled recipe - they came out thinner and "light-fluffy" opposed to perfectly plump-fluffy and light, lol. But this was my mistake! We will be making this recipe regularly when we want to get away from regular pancakes. Thank you!!
