Chicken and Gnocchi Soup

Loved this soup. I had some chicken I had roasted the night before that I used to make the broth and used for the chicken. I couldn't find mini gnocchi so I used regular sized. I skipped the cornstarch/water step. My family really enjoyed this soup, and hubby even took some to work with him so definitely a hit :) Thanks for the great recipe.

Hearty Chicken and Noodle Casserole

This was a good quick dinner. I used leftover chicken from a roast chicken. Added 1/2 cup of sour cream, doubled the recipe, and used peas and carrots. For the topping I mixed leftover cheeses and bread crumbs. I also sauteed some diced onion, celery and garlic to give it an extra boost of flavor.

Chorizo Breakfast Burritos

Yum. I was glad to find this recipe since it didn't have a lot of extra's in it. My grandmother always made this very simply. I did use crushed tomatoes instead of stewed because I didn't want the chucks of tomatoes in the soup. Also I didn't really measure the broth just poured it in until it looked right. And I didn't have any shell pasta so I used elbow. Thanks for the recipe.

Very good white bread. Very soft. Really easy to work with. I did use butter instead of shortening since that is what I had on hand, also used AP flour. My family loved it. Thanks for the recipe.

This was pretty good. I did change the recipe though. I used ground turkey instead of beef. And instead of instant potatoes I used the real ones. Instant potatoes don't like me and I can never get them to cook right. Also used only peas and sprinkled with cheddar cheese between the meat and potato layers.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Oh yeah these are great! I did add an extra 1/2 egg, changed the serving size and wasn't going to split an egg. I also added vanilla, ground cloves and some fresh grated nutmeg. Perfect pumpkin flavor, nice fluffy pancakes. I really loved these. I served with Pumpkin Syrup (AR). Thanks for the recipe I'll be making these again!

Pumpkin Syrup

Yummers! I wouldn't really call this a syrup but it is rockin' on pumpkin pancakes. I had to change it based on what I had on hand. I didn't have maple syrup so I used Butter Pecan, no cranberry juice so I used spiced apple cider. Also added about a tsp of vanilla, and about 2T butter. Warmed this up on the stove before serving. So very good! Thanks for the recipe!

Apple Puff Pancake

Yum! It was different but in a good way. I've never had a puff pancake so I don't have anything to compare it with. I did add about a teaspoon of sugar into the pancake batter (double recipe) along with some vanilla. Baked these in 2 9 inch cake pans. The syrup was really thin at first so I added a TBS of brown sugar then just let it simmer on the stove until it had thickened up a little bit. It never got syrupy thick but it was better than what it was a first. Thank you for the recipe I will make this again.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

These are excellent. I wanted a different granola bar than my usual one. I came across this one and since I have a ton of PB it was perfect. I did change it up just a little bit. I used 1/2 honey and 1/2 corn syrup, left out sunflower seeds and the raisins, family doesn't like raisins, so I subbed walnuts and banana chips. These were definitely a hit with the family. I doubled the recipe and baked it in a half sheet pan. I'll definitely be making these again. Thanks for the recipe!

Crescent Pizza Pockets

Yummy. I liked these. Quick pizza snack/dinner. I think next time though I would use the mini pepperoni's and mix them with the cheese and add some veggies. Olives, green peppers, mushrooms. There is a lot you could do with this. Kids loved them. Thanks for the recipe.

These were okay. Kind of dry. It could have used some green chilies, maybe some cream cheese? I didn't really like these but the kids really liked them. Don't think I would make these again.

Angel Chicken Pasta

This was pretty good. I did have to change it just a bit. I used chicken broth instead of wine, and since I didn't have cream cheese with chives I just used cream cheese and dried chives. Added garlic and onion powder. Doubled the sauce, and thinned it out with a little bit of half and half. When the chicken was almost done I topped each breast with some shredded mozzarella. Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

When I was organizing my pantry I came across a box of spice cake, wasn't sure what to do with it so I came to AR to find something delicious and easy to do with it. This seemed like an interesting recipe and super easy so I went with this. Then I changed it. I had also found a box of pumpkin spice pudding so I added that into the mix, then added 3 eggs, and about a cup of cinnamon chips. Baked this in 2 9 inch pans for 25 minutes, frosted with Cream Cheese Frosting (AR) and dusted with cinnamon. Yummy. Gotta love the cleaning out pantry days! Thanks for the recipe!

Creamy PHILLY Rose Penne

As is not the greatest dish. I needed something quick and easy and I found this recipe. I changed it a ton after tasting the sauce. I added extra cream cheese, some cream to thin out the mix a bit, garlic, onion, and some Italian Cheeses. I had bits of parm, provolone, mozzarella and a bit of asiago cheeses in the fridge so I used a bit of everything. After all that this was pretty good.

Chicken Fusilli with Spinach and Asiago Cheese

This was okay. Not sure why but the flavor was just off for me. I added some extra garlic and minced onions. Also used Parm cheese instead of Asiago since that's what I had on hand, oh and I doubled the sauce.

Hot Fudge Cake

Easy and pretty good. The kids wanted something chocolatey for dessert one night and I was out of butter and short on flour. I found this recipe in my search. Glad I did. This was really good, very easy to put together, my kids did most of the work. Yummy with a scoop of ice cream. Thanks for the recipe!

Fabulous Wet Burritos

I'm glad I finally tried this recipe. Its really good, I've been looking at it for about a year. I did cut out the tomato soup and added an extra 1/2 can of enchilada sauce. I baked them instead of microwaving. Easy and a big hit with my family, served this with Mexican Rice III (AR)
