Oven-Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
This was really good. My son made this for dinner. He added more paprika, some garlic powder and onion powder. Also used buttermilk instead of evaporated milk. Soaked the chicken in buttermilk for about 30 minutes. Baked these on cooling racks so it would crisp all over. Very easy recipe. Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

These were really good. My 10 year old daughter made these for Mothers Day breakfast. We skipped the berries and bananas and just used syrup and butter. Yum!

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
I really enjoyed this. I did have to change the recipe a bit. I used roasted jarred red bell peppers since it is what I had on hand. I also added a bit of cream cheese and basil. My guys didn't really like it but I'll make it for lunches for myself. Thanks!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
This got mixed reviews. The boys liked it but my daughter and I weren't real thrilled with it. But it was extremely quick and easy to throw together.

Bean Quesadillas

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
These were really good. I used butter instead of oil for cooking them. And I left out the corn, not a fan. Also added some Monterrey Jack Cheese.

Eggs Benedict

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
These are great! I did completely mess up the hollandaise sauce :( It was my first time trying to make it so I ended up just doing a cheese sauce. Gasp! Will be making this again. Hopefully I'll do better with the sauce next time!

Traditional English Muffins

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
These are really good. But they are a little to sweet. Next time I'll cut the honey in half. I made these to use with Eggs Benedict and they tasted great. Also I started them on a greased griddle cooked them about 8 minutes per side then finished them off in the oven. Thanks!

Casserole in the Cooker

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
This was very good. I doubled the recipe for my family, I only used one 16oz pack of broccoli and only 3 cups of diced ham. Also I don't use instant rice so I used regular so I added an extra 1/2 cup of milk. I actually could have used 3/4. About 30 minutes before serving I mixed up 1 cup of shredded cheddar 1/2 c panko and 2T melted butter, added this to the top of the casserole, wiped the crockpot lid of and put it on with an opening so that the steam would release. This made a nice little crunchy top. Thanks for the recipe!

Mmmmm This is tasty. I've been wanting to try Hot buttered Rum but never really got around to it. Not sure if I used the right rum or not, I just used what I had on hand. Its really yummy, sipping it right now. Couldn't find creme brulee ice cream :( so I used French vanilla. Thanks Witchywoman!

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
This was really good. I went easy on the lemon juice, just added it slowly. Gave it a bit of brightness but I didn't taste the lemon. Added some diced celery, red onion and some dill. Great recipe thanks!

Allie's Better than Store Bought ~ Homemade Bacon Bits

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Perfect! I usually pan fry my bacon bits but today I was running short on time and seen this posted on the Buzz. I've never thought of doing the bacon bits in the oven! Instead of using a food processor I cooled the crispy bacon put it in a ziploc and handed it to the kids to crumble :) And they really are a million times better than store bought! Thanks AllieGeekPi!

Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
I only made the meatballs. I needed them for another recipe. They came out really good. I ran out of soy sauce so I used a squirt of hoisin sauce and a bit of Teriyaki Marinade. Great flavor!

Basmati and Snow Pea Stir Fry with Teriyaki Chicken Meatballs

This is really good! I added a 16 oz bag of frozen Sugar Snap Pea stir fry in stead of messing with all the veggies. Worked great. I did make extra sauce. I will make this again!

Grilled Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage with Tomato Cream Sauce Over Linguine

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
This was very good. It did need a little bit of salt. Also thought the sauce was to thin so I under cooked my pasta and finished it in the sauce. I would make this again but I would drain the tomatoes.

Sarah's Spinach Side Dish

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
I don't usually stray from the way I do spinach since my son doesn't like to much done with it. But I wanted to try this so I took a chance. I thought it was really good. My son poked at it and whined about why I was messing with his spinach, finally convinced him to try it and he loved it. He ended up eating 3 servings and scraped the bowl of the leftovers :) Love when that happens. Good thing I doubled the recipe! Will definitely be making this again.
