Honey Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
Yum! I didn't have any raspberries so I used blackberries. Added a mango that I had and needed to use up. Very tasty.

Sarah's Easy Shredded Chicken Taco Filling

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
This was very tasty and super easy. I love chicken tacos. I changed the serving size to 12, I have 2 teen boys whose stomachs are bottomless pits these days. I cooked the chicken in the crockpot since it was going to be a busy day. Because I used a crockpot I seasoned the chicken with cumin, chili powder, chicken bullion, garlic and some minced onion. Shredded the chicken up and then followed the rest of the cooking instructions. Served this with the usual toppings. Had enough to feed the boys and the rest of us with a little bit leftover for lunch. This makes awesome chicken quesadillas too! Family loved these. I'll be making this again. Thanks for the recipe Baker Bee :)

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
Really good burgers. I left out the horseradish since we are not fans of it. Added some fresh parsley and a diced chipotle pepper to make up for the kick of the horseradish. I know they aren't the same but its what I had. Thanks!

Family loved this. I didn't use Georgia peaches, instead I used Fredericksburg peaches ;) It was perfect. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thanks!

Lem-Tea Whammy

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
My kids love the Snapple Half n Half, so when I came across this recipe I was happy. Never would have thought of doing this. But its a lot cheaper than the other stuff :) Skipped the sugar since the lemonade added enough sweetness to it. Kids loved it. I think they were mostly happy that they don't have to wait for a trip to the store where I'm willing to fork over the $ for a drink :) Great way to use up your leftover tea and lemonade as well! Thanks for this!

'No Beer Available' Bratwurst

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
I made these for Father's Day since I had gone out that morning to get beer and brats for dinner, forgetting that it was a Sunday which means no beer for sale :/ Came across this recipe and decided why not? I only used about 1 liter of ginger ale and then water. They had a slightly sweet taste to them from the ginger ale which I didn't mind but my son refused to eat them. I left out the sauerkraut since hubby hates it and so I used sauteed onions and peppers. After the brats were done cooking I seared them off in a pan real quick to get the yummy crispness to them. I don't think I would do it again if I was in the same situation but it was worth a try. Thanks for the recipe.

Diane's Scotch-Irish Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
This was tasty. I cut the recipe down to 6 since I didn't need so much. I skipped the eggs because I'm not a fan of them in potato salad. This was nice. I've never used green olives in potato salad before. I enjoyed it but my family wasn't thrilled with the green olives. I'll make this again. Thanks!

These were okay. A little to meatloaf-y for my tates. But not bad. The flavor was nice.

Oven-Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
This was really good. My son made this for dinner. He added more paprika, some garlic powder and onion powder. Also used buttermilk instead of evaporated milk. Soaked the chicken in buttermilk for about 30 minutes. Baked these on cooling racks so it would crisp all over. Very easy recipe. Thanks!

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
I really enjoyed this. I did have to change the recipe a bit. I used roasted jarred red bell peppers since it is what I had on hand. I also added a bit of cream cheese and basil. My guys didn't really like it but I'll make it for lunches for myself. Thanks!

These were really good. I used butter instead of oil for cooking them. And I left out the corn, not a fan. Also added some Monterrey Jack Cheese.
