Cheese Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2013
Something was missing, but I couldn't put my finger on what. The recipe is super easy and everyone said it was delicious, maybe it was just the sauce I used.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Great flavor and easy to make! I used cherry pie filling at my husband's request and they came out great! I used a previous reviewer's suggestion of the chapstick to make the hole and it was wonderful!

Super easy and super delicious! My hubby took them to work and they didn't last a day! We'll definitely be making these again.

Sauteed Apples

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
This is the apple recipe I have been searching for! All of the others I've attempted have been super runny, this has a delicious thick sauce and the apples cooked up perfectly. I added a bit more cinnamon, but that's just our preference for spice. This is a keeper for sure!

Hawaiian French Toast

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
This was a wonderful addition to our normal brunch fare! Even my pickier hubby loved the sweet french toast. The syrup is fantastic, but I don't think it even needed it!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
Everyone loves this recipe! The only thing I changed was adding some sliced green grapes, using a rotisserie chicken for convenience and omitting the green pepper - delicious! I make this every year for our Mother's Day brunch and there are hardly any left overs.

Caprese on a Stick

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
Made these tonight for an appetizer and they're delicious. I mixed a little balsamic vinegar with the olive oil to give it a little extra zip - so good!

Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Other than adding more cinnamon (we prefer a bit more spice) I followed this exactly. It took 35 minutes for both dishes to be done and it smells divine! I'm keeping this one for a quick dessert that's also delicious!

Stephanie's Freezer Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
I made this to try and use up some of the tomatoes we had around. It's a great base recipe that I modified a little to our tastes.

Cookies and Peppermint Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
This pie tasted GREAT! My only complaint was that the Oreo crumbs pretty much stayed in the bottom of the pan. I also made it in two round cake pans, instead of the large pan. I did one with plain vanilla and one with peppermint pieces in between the fudge and ice cream and sprinkled on top. The layer of fudge really makes this - DELICIOUS!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I prefer a more bitter chocolate with the sweet of the strawberries, so I used Semi-sweet chips instead, but had great results! I also made some red, white and blue ones for our weekend bbq - everyone loved them!

Strawberry Cake and Frosting I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I made these today and they are so good! I pureed the strawberries w/my immersion blender and since some of the reviews stated the frosting was runny, I used 6oz in the cake and 4oz in the frosting - it worked perfectly! This is going in my "keeper" recipe file for sure!

Persian Sabzi Polo (Herb Rice with Fava Beans)

This made the house smell wonderful! I used another reviewers recommendation and put a damp towel over the top, worked like a charm and the crust at the bottom was great!

Brown Sugar Smokies

I made these for my husband's b-day party and they were the first things gone off the table! Excellent and easy to make. I had to bake mine a little longer than the recipe states, but they came out great!

California Kabobs

This was so good! I was skeptical of the ingredient list, but thought I'd try it because of the reviews. I'm so glad I did! I'll be making this a summer staple around our house!

One Bowl Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
LOVE this fluffy frosting! It's not as heavy as some buttercream can be and beats the pants off the store bought stuff! I added some cocoa powder to make a chocolate version and it was a hit! This one is going in my permanent file!

Boneless Buffalo Wings

I made these for dinner and my hubby and I thought they were just OK. They tasted really salty to both of us, I'll keep looking for a recipe that better suits our tastes.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
These are a little messy until you get the hang of dipping. I prefer white chocolate, so that's what I use and you have to be careful not get "crumbs" in it, but they are delicious and worth the work! Using a fork to dip the truffles it the easiest thing I've found. And they're great plain too (that's the way my hubby prefers them!).
