Oriental Pork Delight

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
I came up with this recipe when I was home alone and was cleaning out the frigerator. The reason for the variation from mushrooms to artichoke buttons is because the better-half gets deathly sick on mushrooms, and she loves artichokes. So I had to modify the recipe for her.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
We have a slow cooker oven (portable) and the wife uses it to do hams. She wraps the ham in foil with liquid smoke, and cooks it on low for 6 to 8 hours, depending on the size of the ham. Always comes out nice and moist.

Slow Cooker Island Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Made this for dinner yesterday, but cut it down to 3 servings as there is only the two of us. Followed the recipe exactly except that I did not have any red wine vinegar so substituted Creamy Sherry wine in it's place and that turned out fine. Also chopped the onion and used canned diced tomatoes. Will be makeing again. Thanks Cat Lady

Bloody Mary Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
We had this for dinner last night. I took the salmon out of the freezer in the morning, placed it in a large ziplock bag, added the mary mix, and left it out on the kitchen counter all day to marinate and thaw out. Worked just fine. Wife said it is a keeper.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
Used Tri Tip instead of sirloin, one red and one green bell peppers ( for color )and cut into strips rather than chopped. Was a little too salty, so next time will cut salt in half. Also was a little too much sauce, so will try a little less water. It is definitly a keeper. Thanks Marge.

This recipe makes a lot, but it keeps well in the frig. The secret to it is to be sure to use Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing in the quantity listed.

Slow Cooker Chicken Dinner II

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
Made this yesterday for dinner with minor changes. As we prefer dark chicken meat, I used boneless skinless thighs and trimmed off as much excess fat as I could. Used Bunny Love Carrots halved. cooked on high setting for 3-1/2 hours. Came out perfect and the family says it's a keeper
