Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Love the nutmeg ~ Great flavor! My kids LOVE this soup and beg for it. I need to double the recipe everytime. Agree it could be thicker. I think I will add bit more flour next time.

Basic Buttermilk Corn Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Very dense and bland flavor. The kids and husband said it was okay but I did not care for it at all. I would not make again.

Baked Haddock

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
This was really good. Adding the parm chz & thyme really added that extra flavor. Never cooked at 500 degrees before - fish was cooked perfectly and I sprayed the baking dish with cooking spray first. The only problem there was not any left for seconds (cooked 1 lb Haddock).

Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
It was suggested to me by a friend to substitute Spinach for the basil and to give the sauce a kick add a fresh jalapeño to the blender. The spinach tastes great and as Mom, I feel good my kids are getting their spinach! Great versatile recipe - it has been a family favorite in my home for years!

Honey-Ginger Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
I would not change a thing BUT to double the amount! My kids licked their plates clean! We did marinate the salmon for about 2-3 hours prior to grilling. My husband sprayed the grill so that the fish would not stick. This is a healthy, delicious, and fast meal!

Ultimate Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
This was good. Next time I will use cream of broccoli instead of mushroom. I used shredded cheddar instead of processes. Good stand by recipe for a quick and easy dinner. I still prefer by regular mac & cheese recipe.

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
I had given up on making the pefect chocolate chip cookie - the title says it all......"Never Fail"! I followed the recipe exactly. Creamed sugars and butter for about 7 minutes, until fluffy and sugar granulars were blended. As the others recommened to take of oven at 9 minutes. The cookies were perfectly baked. After they cooled, the texture was soft but not mushy. The bottom of cookies were a golden brown. The kids and my husband said they were the best cookies EVER!!!!! This recipe is a keeper!

Black Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
So easy to make. Last minute needed an appetizer and did not have time to chill prior to serving. Added fresh lime as one post suggested. Tasted prior to adding cumin as another post suggested. Did not feel it needed another layer of flavors. Has a small kick. I could not find Mexican Style corn....Used very little cilantro- little bit goes a long way with cilantro. This is a keeper and I will be making this a lot this summer!

Macaroni And Cheese II

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
I would not typically use cheddar soup for mac & cheese but my kids kept complaining my mac & cheese was dry. So i tried this recipe and like others I was surprised that it was pretty good! Huge hit with the kids. Creamy and moist. I did not add the dry mustard (kids do not like the taste) and I did not have bread crumbs. I would make again for the kids = quick and yummy

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This is a keeper. Made recipe exactly as written. I would not change a thing. Very easy to make and done in 30 minutes. I used left over spiral ham and it added great flavor. It tasted like clam chowder but with ham! Served a crusty bread. Not a drop of soup left. Kids loved it!

Cheesy Corn Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
WARNING this makes a lot and you must use a lasagne pan or two 13 by 9 pans! I am in the process of making it - I used a 13 by 9 dish and used a small loaf pan and it bubbled over in the stove - It appears to rising a lot unlike other corn breads i have made. The recipe does call for a lot of baking powder. I am eager to try it - My advise is to cut the recipe in half OR use two large baking dishes

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

I have made them twice and both times a big hit. I mixed 1/2 cup white chocolate chips and 1/2 semi sweet choc.chips. They came out moist. Baked for only 20 minutes at 350 as suggested. Next time i may cut back on the amount of sugar used.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
I have made these several times now due to the request of my children = HUGE hit with the kids and Hubby! They are so easy to make, healthy, under weight watchers plan 1 serving is 2pts and very easy to take on the go to soccer games! I added about 1/4 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips and used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour. You can add anything to this recipe! This is a winner and I will be making this weekly!

Angel Lush

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
I made this for Easter. I did add sliced strawberries between the layers and filled the hole with strawberries. My family loved it and even went back for seconds. It was very easy and quick to make - love the NO baking part. I will take one suggestion and make this for Fourth of July and add blueberries with the strawberries.

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
Wow - what a great quick, easy, simple, and delicious pizza sauce. I will never purchase pizza sauce from the store again!!! I did follow the other reviews and used 1 cup of water. I used little to no garlic (personal preference) but my husband would double it if he had his way. Strongly recommend this recipe.

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
I agree with the other reviews: Light and Fluffy and restaurant quality recipe. I did add vanilla (1 tsp.). i also doubled this recipe for left overs. They freeze great. I put either parchment paper or wax paper between each pancake. I take them directly from the freezer and pop them in the toaster.
