About this Cook
I am a full time working mother of 2 children, husband and chocolate lab. Life is busy juggling kids school, sports, and work. I like to provide my family with healthy good food fast. I wish I had more time to cook - I am always seeking tips on keeping meals healthy while on the go and new and innovative ideas for the kids lunch box!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking with my Mother during the holidays as a child. My Mother would start baking weeks before and make all kinds of cookies, cakes, and quick breads for gifts. I loved the looks on people's faces when receiving it. They could not wait to break open the wrapping and dig in. I may not have the time to do as much - but my children and I with my husband making christmas cut out cookies - and save them for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Cream of Broccoli Soup I
Love the nutmeg ~ Great flavor! My kids LOVE this soup and beg for it. I need to double the recipe everytime. Agree it could be thicker. I think I will add bit more flour next time.

Basic Buttermilk Corn Bread
Very dense and bland flavor. The kids and husband said it was okay but I did not care for it at all. I would not make again.

Baked Haddock
This was really good. Adding the parm chz & thyme really added that extra flavor. Never cooked at 500 degrees before - fish was cooked perfectly and I sprayed the baking dish with cooking spray first. The only problem there was not any left for seconds (cooked 1 lb Haddock).
