I am 54 years old, married, & love to cook most anything. I am not a cook of the fancier things because I live nowhere near the ingredients, but do put out a beautiful plate. I have cooked in restaurants most of my life. I also cater.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is my most favorite family tradition. We all met at my Grandmother's in Poteau, OK & cooked everything there.
My cooking triumphs
I am on another cooking club on here & have a doughnut recipe that won a blue ribbon & then got featured & put in newspapers around the US & then was voted as one of the top 100 recipes on that site to be put in the 2012 recipe book voted on by the members. I was honored.I just won the Wilton's contest with it. I had to tell what my fondest memory was of cooking with my mother & that was it. I won 2 ultimate cake & cookie decorating kits with totes. A $500 value. I never win anything!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Spanish Rice II
This was very good but I could have done with half as much chili powder & I love lots of chili powder in my chili But not so much in this. But, overall, a good recipe. Thank you!

Chicken Enchiladas I
This recipe was good, but for me, not great. I didn't need the water in the sauce mix. It was thin enough. I like more of a white cheese sauce with my chicken enchiladas, so this was too much red sauce for my liking. But, overall, it was a good recipe. Thank you!
