Very tasty and quick. Would recommend. The only thing I did different is that I added some fresh rosemary and oregano.

Chuck Wagon Hash

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
While this dish isn't the prettiest to look at, it is delicious. It's quick and easy to make. The only things I did different is to use fresh garlic and fresh corn off the cob which I cooked before adding.

Marinated Mushrooms II

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Very close to the jarred one. I used portobella mushrooms that I quartered. I used roasted garlic grapeseed oil and skipped the garlic. i didn't have any dried mustard so I added some brown mustard. I will make this again.

Home Made Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
This was very good. I can see many possibilities to add different herbs/spices specific to the recipe you are using this with. I used a mini food processor but the immersion blender works the best as you don't have to pour the oil in slowly. You just add all the ingredients and blend. I used ½ cup grapeseed oil and ¼ cup roasted garlic grapeseed oil. I didn't add the garlic. I used lime juice instead of lemon. Next time I might try making this with the egg beaters.

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
These scones are delicious. Lighter and moister. I took another reviewers advice to put in the freezer after mixing the butter and flour. I also put some glazing sugar on the top before baking. I will be making these again.

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Great old fashioned pound cake recipe. I scaled it to make 20 servings. If you are looking for a light, high fluffy pound cake, this isn't it. It's a very dense low delicious cake. I didn't know if I was supposed to line the entire pan with parchment paper so I just lined the bottom. I used a nonstick pan so I don't think I even had to do that. The cake came out very easy and the crust is awesome. My husband, son and grandson loved it. I added 2 teaspoons of vanilla. I will make this again.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I made this tonight and it is a winner. I microwaved the potatoes and scooped out the insides with a spoon. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I served it with whipped cream. It's the first time I've made sweet potato pie and my husband and I loved it. I will be making this recipe again.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
This was very good. I've been making macaroni salad for years but this recipe is a little different and I like it. I will be making this again. The only thing I did different was to cut back on the sugar and add celery seed. I used red pepper for some color. Didn't have any pimento but will add that the next time.
