Jumbo Dark Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
Oh my! These will definitely work when I need a "chocolate fix," and I didn't even use the dark chocolate! I used semi-sweet chocolate and made smaller cookies. My cookie scoop held 4 tsp. of dough. I baked the cookies for 13 minutes and got 2 dozen. Delicious!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
I have tried a lot of banana bread recipes on this site, and so far, this is one of my favorites because of its sweetness. I would like to add more pecans next time. I made 9 mini loaves and cooked them 30-35 minutes.

Salisbury Steak with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
Ahhhh. This is pure Southern comfort food! I followed the recipe exactly until the very end. I didn't use all of the cornstarch mixture...just enough to thicken the gravy to my liking. Tastes great served with mashed potatoes.

Sheridan's Peanut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
These are super easy and quick to throw together. I used a 1 1/2 tsp. cookie scoop and got 30 balls out of the recipe. I think they are better kept cold in the refrigerator since they aren't so sticky that way.

Marshmallow Dream

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
This thick, chocolate-y drink was extremely sweet for me. I did like the strong marshmallow flavor, but I would definitely leave out the added sugar next time.

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
This is a family favorite, but we call it Heath Bar Cake. I always make it 2-3 days in advance of serving. It only gets better as it sits in the refrigerator.

Apple Orchard Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
I made this punch for our 2012 Thanksgiving celebration and the family all agreed this is a keeper. I usually try something different every year, but I think I have found the one.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
So many reviewers thought this needed more garlic, but I served it with a very garlic-y spaghetti, so it was perfect. I will definitely make this again.

Meaty Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This is my new spaghetti sauce recipe. Loved it! I made it yesterday using all ground beef and no italian sausage. I tasted it but wasn't able to serve it until today. It was much better after the flavors had a chance to mingle overnight. I'll always make it a day ahead now.

Italian Seasoning II

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
I was so happy to find this recipe. I had already browned 2 lbs. of ground beef and put the entire recipe for spaghetti sauce in the slow cooker when I went to get the Italian Seasoning out of my cupboard. I had none! Allrecipes to the rescue. I love this site! And the bonus is that I have almost a full spice jar for many more uses.

A very easy recipe and quite good. I did not use large potatoes, yet needed the amounts of liquid listed. I also had to add salt.

Quick and Flavorful Vegetables

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
I went to two different stores and couldn't find the concentrated vegetable broth (couldn't find the product at all at one of the stores), so I bought the chicken broth. Like others, I needed considerably less than what the recipe stated, but it's very easy to add to taste preference.

Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll-Ups

The good thing about this recipe is its versatility. I used turkey lunchmeat and some shredded cheese I had in the frig. It was the perfect lunch for my 2-yr-old grandson and me.

Easy Italian Herb Focaccia

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2012
I put the Italian Seasoning inside the dough rather than sprinkling it on top and loved it that way! The flavor reminds me of the bread dipped in olive oil and seasonings that you get at nice Italian restaurants. Very easy to make.
