Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
I've used this recipe several times and as other reviewers have suggested I made substitutions and/or addition of veggies to fit my family's tastes. It is amazing every time. I always do all broth instead of water and broth. I like to use yellow squash and zucchini. I also use ditalini pasta instead of shells. I've tried with cabbage instead of spinach and have found I like the spinach better. But again, this recipe produces an amazing soup as long as you stick to the basic premise.

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I love popcorn balls, especially gooey, chewy ones but I've never attempted to make them myself until I found this recipe. It was very easy and for my first attempt I am very pleased with the result. I ended up with 18 small-medium sized balls that are are definitely gooey, chewy and delicious. Thanks for the recipe. Will definitely make again!!

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
I've made this recipe after Thanksgiving for the past two years and it is delicious. I always make sure to buy a turkey big enough to have ample leftovers for this recipe. I did switch out the sour cream with french onion chip dip as another reviewer suggested. This is great dish!

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
This chicken is awesome! I followed the recipe exactly but I do have to admit that I went to my favorite Mexican restaurant to buy their salsa as I have never been able to find any good salsa from the grocery and I didn't want to ruin the chicken with inferior salsa. This would be a great recipe to use for a party and have a taco bar. It was truly outstanding!!

Like other reviewers, mine also turned into mashed potatoes. Nice flavor, but I was hoping for soup.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
This was an easy recipe and a very good soup. Pretty much followed the recipe the first time through. Would like to change up the spices for more of an Indian flare next time. It was easy and delicious so there will definitely be a next time!! Thanks for the recipe Marie!

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Delicious! After seeing the reviews about the cooking time, I happened upon a chicken recipe that used the same process (cook in the pan and transfer into the oven). I used the cooking times from that recipe (cook in the pan turning once for about 3 minutes or until golden brown and then transfer to a 350 degree oven for 12 minutes.) I also pounded out the breasts to make them an even thickness. It turned out great!
