About this Cook
I'm a wife to an amazing man and a mother to one miracle of a daughter. I also work full time and I will go back to school full time soon. I love to cook for the family when I get some precious time!
My favorite things to cook
Dessert, Italian, crock pot (though ours recently broke and we have not been able to replace it.)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our little family has started our own tradition of making Christmas cookies/candy each year for family and coworkers.

Chocolate Caramel Brownies
I don't normally rate recipes low since I often "tweak" them so much, but I followed this one completely and it was a waste! My brownies turned out very greasy with an "undercooked-like" texture, even though I did not use a glass pan and I cooked them exactly as long as the recipe called for. The taste couldn't even save the texture, as it wasn't anything to write home about either! Thank goodness I had the sense to do a trial run batch before taking them to my in-laws' house for Thanksgiving as I'd planned! I will not be making these again.

Mini Meatloaves
These were pretty good ... I did use a large muffin pan like others had, since I didn't have a mini loaf pan. My loaves turned out pretty greasy, but maybe it was just the hamburger I used? I let the oats soak and only put cheese in half of the meat mixture. I do think that next time I will use Ritz crackers instead of oats, as I make a lot of cookies using oats, and the taste/texture reminded me of the cookies.

Never-Ever-Fail Meringue
Perfect! I used this recipe for the first meringue I'd ever made, and I'll use it for every meringue I make!
