I typically follow the recipe and directions for the most part, but I will admit I changed a couple of things because I really wanted to make this and had it adapt to what I had on hand. First, I just used 1 cup of orange juice in place of the orange and boiling water because I didn't have oranges. I wanted to make sure the orange flavor came through really well, so I added a few drops of LorAnn Orange Oil to that batter to enhance the flavor. I used milk chocolate chips and baked for 35 minutes and my bread was done at that point. Although I did enhance the flavor, this is a great recipe. I am loving the chocolate and orange combination. As someone else mentioned, the bread is a tad on the crumbly side, you will notice when you begin to slice it.
