My meeting Teresa Guidice last night was so cool since I am follower of the New Jersey Housewives along with all of the other series on Bravo.

It happened last minute actually....my husband came home in the early evening and mentioned to me that Teresa Guidice would be signing her book at Warwick's in La Jolla, California tonight. It is funny because I was just there for the first time on Sunday afternoon because my friend was doing a book signing there of her book and I went to support her. He told me I should go if I want to so I ran upstairs as fast as I could and called my friend and neighbor to see if she wanted to go. She comes over to my house each Monday night to watch the New Jersey Housewives with me, so we are both fans.

The signing wasn't until 7:30PM so I had an hour to kill before it was time to leave. Once we arrived there was a decent line when we arrived at the book store but we had to go into the bookstore to purchase her newest cookbook first. By the time we came outside (less than 5 minutes) the line has grown quite a bit. In all, it was about 3 blocks in length. While patiently waiting in line at the corner of the alley behind the book store I saw a black Lincoln Towncar drive past me and turn into the alley. I had a feeling it was her and I was right, it was. I didn't see her at this point, but some people behind me did and cheered.

The entire time I was in line I couldn't believe that I was there and I was going to see her. The cookbook, Fabulicious! is excellent! Teresa being Italian from from Italy herself shares many delicious authentic Italian recipes. Everyone was flipping through the book while waiting to line to meet her discussing which recipe they would make first.

In all, we stood in line for 2 hours and 45 minutes. It wasn't so bad and it didn't seem like it was that long. When it was finally my time to meet her I thanked her for signing my book while staring at the huge diamond ring on her finger....you really couldn't miss it. I asked that my book be signed to "My SweetCreations, Kelly." As she was signing she was saying the words out loud and I could tell she was maybe thinking what it meant so I said MySweetCreations is my baking name as I have a blog and YouTube Channel because I love to bake. She said, "What's your specialty?" I told her my peanut butter pie in which my friend piped up from behind me that it is good!

How cool that you got to meet her, I've never met anyone from tv! La Jolla is sooooooooo amazingly gorgeous, how lucky you are to live so close! I am hoping to visit San Diego/La Jolla this summer! And you are too cute! :)

Thanks for the kind words! It was awesome to meet her. The perks of living in a big city I guess! My friend and I were stoked!

So glad you got to meet one of the Real Housewives! I do think that even Caroline would have to go some to make desserts as well as you do. And can you picture Teresa whisking up scrambled eggs for her girls with that huge ring throwing her hand off balance? Haha. I enjoy your blogs. Thanks.

Very cool. So, what do you think of her book? Do they seem to be original recipes? Did you get her first book? LOL, lots of questions. Ya know I'm sucked into that series too!

I like her cookbook. I was actually browsing through the book a week ago not knowing she was coming to San Diego at the time. I wanted to get it because everything is homemade and fresh. I made Rustic Italian Loaf Bread & a Olive Juice Bread Bath yesterday from the cookbook. The bread itself is amazing!

That's so great you got to meet her. She was doing a signing in my town in NJ on Wednesday but my son had soccer practice and then team pictures or I definitely would have been there. My husband always makes fun of me but I love the Housewives. Could you believe that Christening? Lol

I know, pretty crazy episode! I have heard that Bravo played it up and encouraged some of the drama for ratings and that her family gets along with one another for the most part. My favorite series is Orange County, but I also love Atlanta & New Jersey. I watch New York but I didn't like Miami or DC.

Aloha MSC....I will testify to the fabulous peanut butter pie recipe. I have had it for over 30 years and I still get requests for it for special occasions. Looks like you had fun. Too cool.

Teresa came to our town last year for her first cookbook and again recently for her second. I took my old world italian mother-in-law to meet her last year as a delayed Mother's Day present. My MIL was so excited that she could only speak italian despite Teresa saying she didn't speak italian. Teresa, however, did answer every single one of her questions so obviously she did speak. She was a real good sport. You can see my time spent with her here http://www.youtube.com/user/swampynomo#p/u/19/uXhDRksRjgk

Thanks for sharing the link! I also posted a short video on my YouTube Channel w/ photos. From what I understand, Teresa does speak Italian.

About Me
I am a Southern California wife and mother of one. I am a simple person that enjoys home decor, baking, and spending time with my family. You can also find me on YouTube - House of Aqua: http://www.youtube.com/user/HouseOfAqua/videos?sort=dd&flow=list&page=1&view=0
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making a variety of ice cream, cookies, cakes, and candies. In recent years I have branched out by making new dinner recipes and found that I enjoy the challenge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a daughter that loves to help me bake. We spend Christmas Eve in the kitchen making special cookies for Santa together.
My cooking triumphs
I consider tempering chocolate and making caramels a triumph. You either get it right or your wrong!
My cooking tragedies
I failed several times at trying to make fondant centers for truffles. I decided to put my candymaking book away for a while!
