I started packing more lunches or snacks on the go recently. I always took snacks for myself and our four year old, but sometimes when we are shopping or running errands we would get hungry and my four year old would beg me to buy her pizza or popcorn. I recently found a neat pink sandwich… MORE

I thought I would share some of the party favors I have used during this past year for parties that I have hosted. The "Fun Cookie Suckers" recipe on here makes a great looking lollipop cookie. I also like to custom order invitations, water bottle labels, stickers, and wrappers.… MORE

Lemons are often overlooked when it comes to skincare. Most people use chemically laden commercial brand products for skincare. I opt to use natural products and foods when it comes to skincare which includes lemons. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and they naturally have antibacterial, antiviral, MORE

Recently, someone on the recipe exchange asked for recipe recommendations for ice cream so they could break out their ice cream attachment to make ice cream. I have been making ice cream with sweet success for the last couple of months. When I read the request, I was thinking about how I have… MORE

Many of you may have seen my recent photos of cookie sandwiches. I make peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, press M&M's into the tops and sandwich together using buttercream icing. In the photos below, you will see that I use pre-frozen homemade cookie dough, which I freeze into… MORE

These are much like to cookie sandwiches found at the Great Cookie Company in the malls across America. I remember close to my due date with my daughter four years ago and enjoying one of these "doozies" as they call them at the cookie store. I would get one each time I went to the mall back… MORE

About Me
I am a Southern California wife and mother of one. I am a simple person that enjoys home decor, baking, and spending time with my family. You can also find me on YouTube - House of Aqua: http://www.youtube.com/user/HouseOfAqua/videos?sort=dd&flow=list&page=1&view=0
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making a variety of ice cream, cookies, cakes, and candies. In recent years I have branched out by making new dinner recipes and found that I enjoy the challenge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a daughter that loves to help me bake. We spend Christmas Eve in the kitchen making special cookies for Santa together.
My cooking triumphs
I consider tempering chocolate and making caramels a triumph. You either get it right or your wrong!
My cooking tragedies
I failed several times at trying to make fondant centers for truffles. I decided to put my candymaking book away for a while!
