About this Cook
I am a mother of 2 wonderful boys aged 7 and 4. They do keep me busy all day long. I also have a husband who loves to eat but is worried about his health (his mother has brain washed him all his life). I love to cook and bake for my friends and family, feeding them is my way of showing them how much I love them!
My favorite things to cook
I truly enjoy trying new recipes, I don't like to repeat the same dishes everyday so I have a pile of "want to try" new recipes and hundreds of cookbooks I love to read and get inspirations from. Cooking and Baking are my addictions!!!! I spend too many hours on allrecipes every week looking for new recipes I want to try. I also like to make everything from scratch. My mom always made everything from scratch so as a child, I used to envy kids whose parents bought frozen food or prepared food, but now, I appreciate my mom cooking everyday and it's my turn to do the same for my kids.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have a tradition, both my husband's family and my family live hundreds and thousands of miles away so many holidays and weekends, we spend without them. But when we do get together, I like to cook different dishes and bake different treats for them.

Wonderful Gluten Free White Bread
I made this bread yesterday for a friend who is gluten intolerant. She loved it and said it tasted very good. I followed the recipe exactly using the white rice flour, I am going to try with brown rice flour per her request next time.

Spelt Waffles
These waffles were great, my entire family loved them. I followed the recipe exactly but next time, I will probably add about 2 tablespoons of palm sugar (to go with the coconut theme) since the waffles had no sweetness what so ever. I will also reduce the amount of salt to 1/2 t or even 1/4 t since it was salty to my liking. Also, after carefully measuring out my canned coconut milk, I realized that 1.75 C of coconut milk (I guessed it but I had to be sure) was exactly a can of coconut milk so people who are making this in the future can just pour it directly into the bowl. I will also sift spelt flour in the future. Thanks for the recipe.

Schwabischer Kartoffelsalat (German Potato Salad - Schwabisch Style)
This was very easy and quick to make yet resulted in good salad. I used organic red skin potatoes and left the skin on and used white distilled vinegar. Followed the recipe exactly. Will make it again.
