Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
The taste of this was exceptional. I did find that for my BBQ sandwich I needed to add a little more cabbage and a little less of the dressing. I did not want my sandwich to get that wet. As a side dish it is perfect. This will be my recipe for coleslaw from this point forward.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
This was an awesome marinade. I did substitute black pepper for white only because that's what I had on hand. My dad always puts A-1 steak sauce on his steak. Had the bottle sitting right by his plate and he never touched it. He said the steak was perfect without it. I would have to agree. We used Delmonico steaks, marinated 4 hours and then put them on the grill. They were so tender. Will definitely do this again this summer.

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
Didn't want to make 3 loaves and hate it, so I split the recipe and only made 1 loaf. Mistake! Should have made 6 loaves. I made it exactly as stated and it was delicious. Between last night and this morning the 3 of us ate the whole loaf. It was like having dessert when I put my homemade strawberry jam on it. Will be making more tonight!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
I have never had a sauce that was this delicious with so little effort. This is definitely a keeper. I can't imagine ever having chicken cordon bleu any other way after this. The only change I made was I used a chicken bouillon cube crushed as I don't ever have the granules on hand. I served it with bowtie pasta and roasted vegetables.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
We made this for dinner last night and it was awesome. I was not sure if I was to use salted or unsalted butter, so I used unsalted since I peppered and salted the potatoes before adding the cheese sauce. I also used sharp cheddar cheese. They only took 1 hour to cook in my oven. They were perfect. Will definitely have these again, especially when trying to impress guest for dinner.
