Crispy Garlic-Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
My family really raved about this dish. It was juicy, tasty and not at all difficult to make. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is I was disappointed it did not get crispy brown like in the picture. I cooked it for 8 minutes on one side, then flipped it for 10 on the other. I think for our oven, 400 may not have been hot enough. Will have to experiment with this in the future. The starter sauce really added alot of flavor!!

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2012
Karen, this was flat out fabulous! Thank you for sharing this recipe! I only had two chicken breasts tonight and was looking for a way to stretch it out. I simply cut them in tenders, then followed your recipe for seasoning and covering. Oh my gosh, was it fantastic! The flavor is incredible! BTW, I just put them in the oven raw with seasonings and covered in salsa. After 25 minutes, I put on the cheese and let it go another 20 minutes. BAM! You have a winner here! Thank you!!!

Home-Fried Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
With permission from Mis7up, I'm reviewing this recipe even though I used panko crumbs instead of bread crumbs. I normally steer from rating recipes I've made significant changes in; however I did let the cook know ahead of time. We simply prefer panko over Italiain bread crumbs and use them in every dish bread crumbs are called for. With that exception, I followed the recipe to a T and these turned out FANTASTIC. The freezing step is key- my batter hung on beautifully and fried up perfectly. The Italian bread crumbs have seasoning in them which the panko does not so if you use panko, consider adding some seasonings for punch. Either way, these are amazing. Thanks, Mis7up!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2012
What a recipe! The flavor the meat gave off after allowing it to simmer in all the ingredients was really wonderful. I keep myself (and my kids) from snitching it out of the pan. I gave this four stars because one step change (not ingredient) would make this less greasy, as many reviewers have mentioned. Do drain the ground beef- it makes all the difference. Do not, however, sautee the onions in the beef pan without cleaning it out first. This will eliminate the extra grease. Another tip to save time: Once the onions are sauteeing, mix all the other ingredients that go in the pan in one bowl. Then just pour it in when the onions are ready. We double wrapped our lettuce leaves because they were thin. Lastly, do let it cool down a bit before you wrap up the wraps. Leftovers are good cold! Thanks a million, Rachel. Will be making this repeatedly.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
I made this as submitted and it was OK. Not bad but it seemed a bit on the bland side to me and for whatever reason, the chicken was very watery when I went to add in the cream cheese/ soup mixture. I will keep this, though, because it was easy and I didn't have to fuss with it. Next time, I may add some onions in and perhaps a bit of garlic. I served it over cooked orzo with chopped parsley on top. Upside- there was ALOT left over for munching the next day.

Incredible Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Can't believe it took me this long to write this. I made this just as Jharmon wrote- used my grater to shred the potatoes once they were cool enough to handle- cinch! This came out so so so good.. my daughter (who is a bacon fanatic) just raved and raved. It made alot, so we warmed it up the next night- still fantastic. Thank you so much!!

I made this last night and it was incredible. I cooked mine in a cast iron frying pan and the double layers of goodies just oozed everywhere. I had never put the sauce directly on top- it was a hit. Thank you so much, Jaime5025!!!

Tortellini Bacon Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
This was absolutely fantastic!!! The bacon did not get soggy and we even ate it the next day. I'm not a fan of people who review recipes they have altered or changed so please know that! I did not have tortellini on hand but I did have four cheese ravioli. I was too impatient to wait till the next day so I did use the ravioli. I cut each piece into fours so it would be smaller like the tortilin- just too darn impatient!! I used Marie Callendars coleslaw- the whole jar is just about 2 cups. OH man was this good!!! Keeping, keeping!! Thank you so much!!!

Macaroni and Cheese with Caramelized Onions and Bacon

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This was outstanding. I'm constantly looking for new mac and cheese recipes- this one really delivered. It does take much longer then 20 minutes to prep; however, if everything was bought pre-shredded, etc, it might cut down on the time. To save time, read through the recipe and move the steps around to better coordinate with your own kitchen. Thank you Thank you!!

This was absolutely fantastic. Like a couple others, I did not have preserves so I used juice from canned pineapple and I doubled the amount of sauce. It was SOOO good...just really, really good. Thanks so much, Stacy!

Pepperoni Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
My husband could not stop talking about these! Raved and raved. I made it just as is- we use panko crumbs in our house instead of breadcrumbs. so I was worried it would taste weird since I didn't have the buttered round crackers. No worries- I added in some crushed french onions and it was fabulous!! Will definitely make these again Made these AGAIN... man, are these good. I upped the garlic to four cloves (and I think I only had 20 mushrooms) and they still disappeared- we have these for dinner. So Good!!

These are AMAZING. I was eating them on day one.. my son and I have almost gone through an entire jar. I also increased the pickling juice just so I would have enough and since I had room in the bowl, I pickled onions and celery too. Soooo good!!

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
This was really fantastic. I made it with the recipe right on the counter next to me and now the proof of use is in cheese sauce splattered on it! We were having our protein separate, so I did not add the kielbalsa and I used what cheeses I had- it is easy, cheesy and the pasta does not dry out! Yum! (There was none left over! ) Glittergirl.. I made this again tonight and followed your recipe to a T. It was wonderful.. so good. I have my own struggles with the roux but it has nothing to do with your dish. Its me being a ding dong. Thank you for this recipe.. we'll be making this often in the future.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
This is fantastic! We used sausage ravioli instead of cheese (hubby's tummy and all) and it was absolutely fab!! The sauce is great- don't change a thing!! We did put our spinach in at the last moment just because we don't like it so wilty but it did not change the flavor, I'm sure.

My family LOVED this. We didn't change a thing and there were NO left overs. Please try this as is before you change something around. Since the sauce smelled so wonderful, I added fresh mushrooms and broccoli chunks in during the final stage- it was heavenly!!

This was incredible. I've made alot of lasagna in my day and this one was so unbelievably good. I used all sausage as I didn't have any ground beef. I also cut it in half because there was only three of us. It was fantastic all week and warmed up GREAT for lunches. The spiciness to the sausage was a GREAT change. Thank you thank you!!!

This was absolutely fantastic!! I couldn't believe it- I followed the recipe exactly (my stewed tomatoes were plain wrap brand Italian style) and blended it with a hand food processor to my liking. It was SOOOOO good. This is the real deal- you must try this and don't change anything!!!
