Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This is the recipe my mom used all our lives, we topped it with either pulled apart bread chunks or cubed white bread, then drizzle with butter and top with paprika.

Chef John's Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
omg was this the BEST stuffed peppers ever. I used all ground beef as I didn't have the sausage and used cheddar cheese on top as the kids used all the parm. I used 4 1/2 peppers as that is all that would fit into the 9*15 dish. So 9 halves. It depends on the size of your peppers but the filling was perfect and the perfect amount. Thank you so much.

Nana's Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
I made this recipe for dinner tonight as the recipe stated but doubled it. Very tender meat and a nice rich sauce. My husband and children enjoyed it. Thanks for the recipe. However I will keep looking. Lacked the flavor profile I was seeking and remember from childhood.

we love this potato salad. I make it often in the summer. I refuse to buy potato salad in the store because of the weird aftertaste. This is perfect!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I made as directed, and took the direction to mix the eggs and cheese together before pouring onto spaghetti. The onion was over powering. And I love onions. I have never had carbonara before and the uncooked eggs made me nervous. It tasted okay but my stomach didn't like it. Thanks anyway.

Peanut Butter Hot Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Thanks so much for the idea. So Simple, yet most people think about slicing the bananas and never think hey just leave it whole. This is great on cinnamon raison bread. My two year old loved it. His three favorite things Bread, peanut butter and nanas...In a easy to carry, easy to eat bundle.

G-ma's Rice

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
For AUTHENTIC Mexican/Spanish Rice this is good. I will agree with a poster from below. Authentic Mexican food is very bland. I grew up in the midwest where everything is very spiced up. I moved to Arizona and went to many Authentic Mexican restaraunts and nothing tasted "right", only because my right was wrong. If you know what I mean. So I tend to stay away from authentic except for the carnitas. If you are used to Chi Chis, taco bell and O'd mexico type establishments this isn't going to be the type of rice you are looking for. Sorry But this is exactly how my sister in law makes her rice and I have been looking for it. Very simple. Great with chicken. I add a can of mixed vegis drained,

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I make this every year. I first reviewed it in 2003 under Dylnic. I wanted to add I use HERB OX chicken boullion granules. It is the best. Nice and flavorful and has herbs in it. Secondly if you are hesitant about the amount of seasoning salt I never measure much. Just sprinkle like you would any other thing to season to your tasting. I go crazy with the butter. I put under all skin I can and even rub all over the bird.. We love this recipe. The only turkey I will make. Of coarse I don't let mom know how I make it because she just looks at me funny when I said boullion. lol. I can't wait to cook this in two days again. As others said if you have a bigger bird you don't neccesarily increase the seasonings. Except maybe a little more boullion and water. Sometimes I use a can of swansons broth. 10 years later still making it every year for Thanksgiving.

Very very good. I added more sugar because i like mine sweet. If I had honey I would have used that instead. So good. I cut up the dogs in thirds and made mini dogs.

Chicken Fried Steak III

Reviewed: May 26, 2007
Very very good. I did not use the beef boullion but it was still very good. It was almost as good as the "saltine" based recipes. I used paula deens house seasoning mix recipe (on food network) in the flour mixture.

Chinese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2007
Okay all I had in the house was the ingrediants to make this. I didn't have celery though yet added a little celery seed...It was really good. I was so surprised. Did not taste the tea at all. We loved the gravy and made white rice put the chop on top and smothered in gravy...I made more than one cup.... Thank you for this recipe. Very very easy.

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2007
This was very good. Didn't rate it a five because it wasn't like I would pay for it in a restaraunt. But it was very good. All kids, hubby and me being pregnant ate it all. The only thing I did different is used a 29oz can of beans and put cheese on the top. I will make again and again. Good for the end of the month meal when you have nothing left but these ingrediants or ramen noodles. Very economical as well. Thank you.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
OMG this is soooo good. I made it with Penne Pasta, put red, yellow and green peppers some onions, sliced lunch meat (turkey and ham) and of coarse Mozz cheese. It was awesome. I Put in three tblsp of sugar. It was perfect. I tried two different dressings recipes, before I decided and this was the best. Thanks so much. It even tastes like there is bacon in it. I will be eating this for along time. I have been craving pasta salad since I live in AZ and it has been 105 degrees every day.
