About this Cook
I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. I won my first cooking contest in my age group when I was 7 and by the time I was 11 was winning cooking contests against cooks five times my age. I have finally achieved my life long dream of being a wife, mother and homemaker. I am so proud to incorporate all the cooking skills I have learned from my mother and the experience I've gained to cook for my family and our friends. What a truly awesome God we serve!
My favorite things to cook
German Pancakes have been a childhood favorite for as long as I can remember. Every year for my birthday I love to cook Meatballs and Mushroom Sauce over Mashed Potatoes. My favorite Ethnic food is Indian. My favorite dish is Tikka Lamb Masala and Naan.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking sugar cookies for Christmas and decorating them. Christmas Parties with friends and having a Molasses Taffy pull.
My cooking tragedies
LOL I remember when I was still very little getting to cook my very first family dinner. I got really in to it and included the whole fine china, candle light, the works... I decided to make BBQ ribs. I followed the recipe closely and everything looked cooked to perfection. We all sat down by candle light to eat and after only a couple of difficult to chew bites we had to turn the lights back on only to discover that the ribs hadn't cooked through and were raw. :( Needless to say that was the last time my family every ate by candle light again.

Chinese Lemon Chicken
I'm gluten intolerant, so it has been difficult for me to find good asian recipes that I could make. When I found this one made with corn flour I was thrilled. It has quickly become a household favorite and I have shared it with many of my gluten free friends and they love it.
