Bacon Rosemary Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
These are unfreaking believable, I did use 2 shallots instead of the red onion because I find those to be too overwhelming...my left-overs will be used for potato cakes because they are that good!

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
Awesome marinade...I only used a tsp. of liquid smoke flavoring, I find that can be overwhelming, and I added a tsp. of onion powder...it was amazing for center cut pork tenderloin chops!

Heavenly White Cake

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
I have made this cake 5 or 6 times now, and I can not believe I haven't reviewed it yet...It does take some work, but it never fails...be sure to sift your flour before you measure it...it is the most versatile, flavorful white cake...100X better than a box!

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
I just made this for Mother's Day, since it is my favorite breakfast! I use 2 TBS of butter and then add the flour to create a roux and I use 2% milk. I also add some garlic and onion powder, and a couple of dashes of poultry seasoning to accent the sausage flavor. Best sausage gravy ever!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
I made this for Cinco de Mayo, and we loved it. I put everything in the crockpot and by dinner time the chicken just fell apart. I added an additional can of beans and corn, and substituted chicken broth for the beer, and also took other reviewers tips and added a tsp. of cumin and garlic powder.

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

These potato bites are excellent! I serve with a dollup of sour cream or ranch dressing! I usually bake them closer to 50 minutes to get them extra crispy.

Enchilada Meatballs

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
I made these meatballs last year for a Cinco de Mayo party, and everyone loved them and wanted the recipe! I made of box of Jiffy cornbread mix, and crumbled that. Next time I might even try mixing in some corn, rice, or beans!

Country Style Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
I make these hash brown style potatoes a lot for breakfast. I use canola oil instead of shortening, and usually throw in about a cup of diced onions, sometimes I thrown in a can of sliced button mushrooms and cubes of ham to make it a sort of hash. Very versatile recipe!

Baked Rosa Maria Fries

My husband loves french fries, but I get so bored with them...these tasty homemade fries are wonderful! I don't change a thing but to double the cooking time because I like them very cripy.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
Put the phone down, this is WAY better than any takeout!!! I made a vegetable LoMein recipe from this site to go along side the shrimp, and baked some egg rolls. My only change to the recipe was I used fresh minced ginger inplace of the ground ginger powder.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
I kind of played with this recipe a little to get the icing to the right consistency, added a little more sugar to compensate for the food coloring and I also used vanilla extract instead of almond.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
I was intimidated my first time making rolled sugar cookies, but I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out perfectly! The dough was very easy to work with. I just needed to watch them closely in the over because my oven tends to be overly hot.

Hash Brown Ham Quiche

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
This is great one dish breakfast and a good way to use up leftover ham. I don't usually add in green peppers, but instead stir about a 1/4 cup of salsa into the egg mixture. My family loves waking up to this!

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
My husband is not a fan of artichokes, well that was until I made this recipe for him! I added in some fresh minced garlic and I also add in a cup of chicken stock along with the wine so I would have enough sauce to server over angel hair pasta with crusty bread. The recipe really lives up to its title!

Pork Dumplings

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
I love the Pot Stickers that we get from take-out, and now I can make them at home, and they are even better! I don't have a bamboo steamer, I just steam them in a covered wok in some chicken broth, they are great as meal with some steamed vegetables or as a side dish!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
If I could give this recipe more stars I would, it is fantastic...one of my very favorites from this site! I add in a tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce, and I use rice wine vinegar and omit the sugar. To make it simpler, instead of cubing chicken breasts, I skewer chicken tenderloin strips....OH MY they turn out so moist and flavorful!!!
