About this Cook
Being from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, cooking has always been a huge part of my heritage. I've been in the kitchen since I was old enough to stand in a chair, by myself, next to my grandmother... and I'm still trying to catch up to her skills!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook for entertaining, feeding my family, and desserts. Thanksgiving and Christmas are soo exciting for me!All that baking and entertaining! Where is a girl to start?!
My favorite family cooking traditions
One main staple of my families' dessert arsenal is gingerbread. Two sides of the family, two different recipes, both delicious in very different ways! The jury is still out on which takes overall winner... I don't think anyone will ever settle that one!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
SO much better than the Campbell's green bean casserole. This is the only recipe I will be using from now on. Super easy to make as well!

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey
I made this recipe for the first time this year and it was a huge hit. I'm not much on turkey but I can't stop eating what few leftovers I have. It was so moist and juicy and flavorful! It will definitely be my go to recipe from now on.

Beef Tips and Noodles
I had to cut the recipe down to 2 servings so my cook time was shorter and I browned the beef in butter before putting it in the oven but it still turned out great! Will be making again!
