Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
Updated review: I made this recipe again tonight. This time I used a combination of crushed corn flakes and italian bread crumbs. I again used munster cheese instead of swiss. I decided to try the gravy and it was good, but I don't think it's necessary as the chicken tastes great alone. Original review: My husband says this is the best new recipe that I've ever made, and he's hard to please. I did things slightly different for personal preferences. First of all, I used Italian bread crumbs instead of Corn Flake crumbs because that's all I had in the house. I used munster cheese instead of swiss becuase neither of us like Swiss. And I didn't make the gravy, because my husband isn't a gravy person. These were so simple to make, took little time and turned out wonderfully. The first time I made this it came out too dry, so I adjusted my cooking temperature the next time to 350, for 30 minutes, and it worked fine. I will definately make this again!

Twice Baked Potatoes II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
These were very good, and my first attempt at twice baked potatoes. I put the potatoes in the microwave for a minute each to cut down on the baking time (it cuts it almost in half, and they still come out great in the oven). I also sprinked the outside of the potatoes with water and then rolled them in salt so the skin would come out crispy in the oven. I didn't use the American cheese, instead I used more shredded cheddar. Everyone asked for seconds!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
This was so good!! I made this tonight for company (I doubled the recipe) and everyone raved. I think it's important to note that the root beer does not flavor the dish. It is used only to tenderize the meat. The flavor comes solely from the meat and the barbecue sauce. Those reviewers who claimed that this recipe was too sweet may have forgotten to drain the root beer before adding the barbecue sauce, or perhaps used a barbecue sauce that was too sweet. I used Sweet Baby Ray's Original BBQ Sauce (our family's favorite) and it was fantastic!

Peanut Butter Cup Dessert Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
I made this for my 10 year old son who was asking for a new peanut butter dessert. I have to admit that I was bit skeptical about this recipe at first, but since it seemed simple and I had all the ingredients on hand, I figured I'd give it a shot...and I'm glad I did. First off, this recipe is so simple and easy that kids could make it themselves. The sugar cookie "crust" with the peanut butter makes it taste like a peanut butter cookie with Reese's on top. This would also be a nice easy dessert (thought a bit messy) for a pot luck, if you're looking to bring something different.

Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
My first faceless recipe for October. You know you're baking something good when while its in the oven baking, you get a UPS package and the driver tells you "wow, whatever you're baking smells delicious!"

Cajun Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
The family and I agreed that this recipe was good, but not fantastic. It was certainly easy to prepare and smelled wonderful while cooking. The crust wouldn't brown with the aluminum foil over it, so I removed it and put it back in the oven for about 10 minutes to get it brown and flaky. I followed the recipe exactly and it made quite a bit of extra filling. I think I will serve it over biscuits for dinner tomorrow.

Oven Fried Lemonade Chicken

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
This was ok. The lemon taste was too strong so perhaps next time i'll water it down a bit. It was incredibly easy to make.

Chicken Angelo

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
While this dish was pretty good, my husband and I both thought something in the taste was just not quite right. I think next time I will either dillute the soup a bit to make the taste less powerful, or perhaps use a little soup as a gravy instead of using a whole can. I will try this recipe again.

Sour Cream Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2001
Excellent recipe. Easily feeds a family of four. I've made this close to twenty times since I first saw the recipe last year. It takes almost no time to prepare and is very easy to make. I've made it with chicken, and with turkey, and both were excellent. It's a GREAT use for leftover Thanksgiving turkey. While not the prettiest dish to serve, it certainly makes up for it in taste. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Cheese-Stuffed Giant Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
Let me start by saying this: my picky 7 year old loved this recipe! She got a kick out of the individual sized loaves and loved the cheese in the middle. My husband and I also liked the recipe but thought it was too bland. Next time I make this (and there will be a next time...I promised my daughter) I'll add more seasoning to the meat and will experiment with different types of cheese to see which flavor works best.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
OMG these are good! I followed the recipe exactly and I didn't think that these were too cake-like. The frosting is delicious but you could enjoy these without the frosting too! These went so quickly and everyone asked for the recipe.

No-Bake Cheesy Skillet Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This came out pretty good...but not great. First, this really shouldn't be called lasagna. It's more like a cheesy pasta. The sauce remained pretty thin, even though I cooked it a bit longer than it called for and let it sit for several minutes before serving. I only added about 1/4 of a bag of peppers and onions and saw that adding the rest of the bag would have been too much - and I'm glad I followed my instincts. The taste of the peppers and onions overpowered the dish. I might try this recipe again, but with several revisions to improve the thickness of the sauce and omit the peppers altogether.

Monkey Bread with Butterscotch Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
I'm giving this recipe 3 stars because the flavor was yummy but the way the recipe is written, they came out an ugly mess. I had to piece together some of the better parts just to take the photo. When I first took them out of the oven, I thought that it would have to go straight in the trash...but then I took a bite and wow! Such a good flavor. I served them up for the kids and they were gone in seconds. There needs to be a better way to prepare the pudding mix, sugar and butter so that it creates a glaze, rather than a clump of powder. I will tweak and make again in the future.

Oatmeal Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
I'm only giving this 3 stars because I followed the recipe and it turned out very dry. However, the taste was still delicious. I will try it again using more bananas and perhaps cutting down on the flour a bit.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
This is easily one of the top two recipes I have ever tried on AllRecipes. It took less than 20 minutes to prepare - cost me about $10 to make, and was simply delicious! I had it in the crock pot for right at 6 hours, and teh chicken was so tender it was falling apart. The flavor of the sauce was very good and perfect served over rice. I will definately make this again!

This recipe was so so. It lacks the extra ingredients of the spectacular Sour Cream Cheese Casserole from this site. I suggest skipping this and trying that.

Creamy Banana Bread

This recipe was pretty good. I cut it in half and it came out a bit dry, but that could have been the result of halving the recipe. I'll definitely try again.
