Easy Noodle Kugel

I am the author of the recipe and I wanted to mention that if you do not want the noodles on top to come out crunchy, then you should cover your pan with tin foil before putting it in the oven. You may want to adjust your baking time a little to ensure it doesn't overcook. Some people love the crispy noodles. I do not, but my mother and brother always fought over who would get to eat them. :)

Key Lime Pie I

My husband lived in Florida for many years and is a key lime pie aficionado. I have tried many recipes over the years, and none have succeeded, until now. I used a regular pie crust instead of a graham cracker crust, and I also added 1/2 tsp of vanilla and 3 tbs of powdered sugar to the whipped cream topping. He is absolutely thrilled! Thanks IRENED for the recipe!

Erin's Year Round Party Dip

I made this for a BBQ and everyone loved it. I followed the recipe, except I used a larger jar of salsa, because I couldn't find an 8oz jar anywhere, then forgot to only use half when I prepared it. Everyone loved this dip and asked me for the recipe. It's a keeper!

Creamy Cheese Pie

This was a good recipe, but needs some tweaking. I followed the recipe exactly and baked for the recommended time but the pie never really formed properly. I baked for an additional 5 minutes, then took it out to sit before adding the sour cream. I baked for another 10 minutes and it still wasn't ready, so I baked for another 5 minutes before taking it out of the oven for fear of over baking. After 10 hours in the fridge, it still wasn't fully formed. I think in the future it needs to be cooked a bit longer before adding the sour cream. I might also take the sugar in the cream cheese mixture down a tad.

Grilled Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage with Tomato Cream Sauce Over Linguine

This recipe came out great and was very easy too. Even an inexperienced cook would be able to make this without any problems. The only thing I did differently was add a little bit of cornstarch to help it thicken - otherwise it would have been too watery. Will definitely make this again.

Spaghetti and Meatballs

My family really enjoyed this recipe. Of all the spaghetti and meatball recipes on AR, I chose this one because the author is from the same town as my husband - Lewiston, Idaho. He's always complaining that my spaghetti and meatballs don't taste like what he grew up with. Well, that problem is now fixed because he loved this! I used Jimmy Dean's Italian ground pork instead of plain.

Sinfully Rich P 'n' B Pie

This recipe was a bit disappointing for me due to the other reviews. It's good, but it's missing something. It definitely needs some salt and I would most likely use real whipped cream instead of cool whip in the future.

Oven Fried Chicken III

This was a pretty good recipe, very easy to prepare. My only complaint is that the chicken never got crispy. I ended up having to put the chicken back in the oven at 450 for 5 minutes or so to get it to crisp up a bit, but it was still overall soft. The flavor was good and tasted like fried chicken, though one of my guests thought it was a tad spicy.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

This was very good and super easy to make. I followed other reviewers suggestions and put the ketchup/brown sugar combo on top, instead of on the bottom. My husband liked it but thought I could cut down on the brown sugar a little bit next time, which I will.

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Oh my goodness, was this good! I followed the recipe with one exception, which was cubing the chicken instead of cooking the breasts whole. My daughter asked for seconds, and my hubby had thirds, then proceeded to clean out the remnants inside the crock pot. There was nothing left! The only thing I might change in the future is to only use 3/4 of a package of the Italian dressing mix because I think it might improve the overall taste a bit. This is going into the "keeper" pile. **Update - made this again but used Healthy Request Cream of Chicken soup instead of regular - this was still delicious even though it cut out a lot of fat.

Easy Slow Cooker Pork Chops

I'm going to give this 3 stars because it is a good base recipe, but needs a little bit of help in the flavor department. Here's what I did to tweak it. I added a can of frozen apple juice concentrate to improve the flavor and a couple of tsps of cinnamon. I used half a can of chicken broth instead of 2 tbs of chicken soup base. I cut the pork into bites during the last half hour of cooking to give this more of a pork stew kind of feel. I also added 2 tsp of cold water to 2 tsp of cornstarch, stirred it until it was smooth and added it to the crock pot. This thickened the sauce up quite nicely. I served it over rice and my husband said it tasted like a sweet and sour pork dish. It was much better with these changes but not something that we will make again.

6 Can Chili

This is a yummy, very easy chili recipe. The thing that caught my eye was that this recipe can be changed to match anyone's tastes depending on how much spice and seasoning you want to add to it. Personally, I am not a fan of spicy so I made the chili per the directions, and added a bit of seasoning just to enhance the flavor. I took about half of the chili out of the pan and then added some jalepenos and other spices for my husband, who loves spicy chili.

Original NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

It's official! You just can't go wrong with Toll House cookies! I made several batches of these cookies for Cookies Across America. For the first batch, I followed the recipe but did not add nuts. The second batch, I added nuts but I pounded the nuts until they were very fine - almost a powder. This is how my husband likes them. The third batch, I added some Nestle white chocolate chips, and they were a nice contradiction to the dark chocolate. Rave reviews all around!

Louisiana Yam-Apple Medley

This is a great quick and easy side dish! I am not a huge fan of canned sweet potatoes but I did like them in this dish. My husband loved it and finished off the leftovers. The only change I will make next time is to only drain half of the cans of the yams and apples. Even after cooking for 30 minutes there was still too much liquid. And I did omit the pecans because I'm allergic.

Apricot Glazed Pork Roast

I made this for dinner last night. It was good, but not what I was expecting. I thought it would have a glaze, but instead it made a very thin and not very flavorful sauce. I tried thickening it with some cornstarch but it really didn't take shape. I cooked it on low in the crock pot for 8 hours and it was a tad dry but so soft that it fell apart. I'm going to shred the rest of it and add BBQ sauce to make sandwiches.

Beef and Bean Crescent Burritos

I made this at a friend's house when I was playing nurse to her. She and her husband both liked them but said that they felt that the crescents were too sweet for the dish...the sweetness didn't go with the beef and beans. They did think the filling was pretty good. I'd have to agree. My husband didn't like these at all because of the crescents but he did say he'd like the filling if it was wrapped in a tortilla.

Sweet Potato Casserole III

This was a very easy recipe to make. Something that even a beginner cook could do well. I used 2 lbs of sweet potatoes, per the directions and found that I had too much mash. Next time I'll use 1 1/2 lbs. I also reduced the sugar to a cup...the mixture was already sweet enough. As for the corn flake topping, I liked it, but I'm not sure I like it on sweet potatoes.
