Mom's Pasta Dough

I did not add any salt. After I had my dough mixed and kneaded I wrapped it in plastic wrap while I got everything set up. I divided into 4 pieces and re-wrapped 3 of the pieces to keep moist. This was my first time making pasta and it came out wonderful!

Gingerbread Biscotti

Excellent! I took the advice of some other reviewers and used butter instead of oil. I was going to drizzle white chocolate over it, but I scorched the chocolate while melting it, so I just made a vanilla glaze and drizzled that instead. They are so tasty! These are going to go so well with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. I've never made biscotti before so I am pleased how well this came out for me. Thank you for this easy recipe!

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

Made these the other night and my son and husband both agreed they were way better than my normal go-to recipe! I will be using this recipe from here on out! Originally I was going to have to make them without onions because I didn't have any, but we ended up at the store so I picked up an onion. They would have been good without, too,I'm sure! Thank you for a top-rate scalloped potato recipe!

Alfredo Sauce

Very easy to make and tastes great! I made it just as is to use in a recipe that called for a jar of alfredo sauce. I have only ever bought jarred alfredo sauce twice and didn't care for the taste of it either time. Now I know I'll just make it myself. Thanks for a great, easy recipe.

Grandma's Best Ever Sour Cream Lasagna

Really good flavor! This morning hubby stated he was hungry for lasagna so I thought I'd surprise him with a pan for dinner. As I pulled out my ingredients, I discovered my ricotta cheese was not good so I pulled up AllRecipes and found a recipe that did not call for ricotta or cottage cheese (I can't stand cottage cheese). This was perfect. He said I could make this recipe again, even though it had no ricotta cheese.

Slow Cooker Rosemary and Red Pepper Chicken

I made this for today's Sunday dinner as a last minute decision. It was a great decision! Last night plans were made for my daughter and parents to come over for dinner today. So, this morning as the pineapple upside down cake was in the oven I had to figure out what I could make. I did add a can of diced, Italian style tomatoes as others suggested, as well as fresh sliced mushrooms. I also did not have Italian sausage, but used Chorizo sausage instead. We used rotini pasta as that is all I had. This was very good. I did cook mine on high for 5 hours and my chicken was not dry at all. I will be making this again!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

This was very good! I followed the recipe, the only difference was I used bone-in/skin-on chicken breasts. I also brushed an herb-infused olive oil over the chicken to make the skin crispy. It took them about an hour to get done and they were delicious! My bacon crisped up nicely, probably because I didn't cover it; I totally didn't see that step until I just now came back to review it. We'll have this again!

Oysters Rockefeller

We made these with fresh oysters from Chincoteague Island. Loved them! They were a little time-consuming, but worth it! I used a bigger than normal dash of hot sauce, but that's because I really like it.

Pork Rib Rub

Yummy! We made ribs today and this rub was great. After I put it on the baby back ribs I stuck the ribs on a rack in the pan, put them in the oven on about 225 degrees and cooked them low and slow. Once done,I generously brushed Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce on them and stuck them under the broiler for a few minutes. Great flavor!

Mushroom Chicken Piccata

Absolutely delicious! I had a bottle of chardonnay from a trip to Maryland which I used. Of course since I opened the bottle, we had the rest of it to drink with dinner. Served this with baked potatoes and steamed asparagus. It was so good! I didn't change a thing. Hubby would comment every now and then thru dinner, "This is really good!" So glad I have some to take for lunch tomorrow.

Perfect Cream Cheese Frosting

Crystal - this is an awesome cream cheese icing! I remembered you were in to cake baking & decorating so figured you would know what you were talking about! I didn't have margarine (I always only use butter) and it still tastes delicious and was easy to spread. I'd say I used a "small" 1/4 tsp. vanilla. This topped my chocolate zucchini cake perfectly!

Cheddar Biscuit Cups

These were very good! They were moist, yet held together well. I added about 1/2 cup of very finely chopped frozen broccoli that I thawed. I made them to go with a ham & Bean soup that was not good at all, so I was very happy these came out as they became the main dish. We will definitely make these again and again!

Oatmeal Banana Nut Bread

My bread came out very moist and full of banana flavor! I didn't have walnuts, so I used pecans instead. I prefer them over walnuts. I did use a little extra banana,but only because I had it. I'll make this again.

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

I wasn't sure what my family would think of this - it seems so simple. But - Wow! Everyone loved it! I had thrown this in the crockpot so we would have dinner quickly, and I threw some quartered potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker. When I got home all I did was steam some broccoli and dinner was ready. It was such a hit that my husband was talking about it at work and all the ladies requested the recipe. A very nice, quick and easy dinner!

Simple Sponge Cake

This should get 10 stars for simplicity! My husband had bought some beautiful strawberries and after dinner we thought of strawberry shortcake. Of course I had nothing for the cake (his favorite is sponge cake) so I popped onto AR and found this quick, simple recipe. In no time flat we had a great smelling and looking cake, great strawberries and homemade whipped cream for the topping. Like a few others said it did have a bit of an eggy taste, but not over-powering. Next time I might try 2 eggs instead of 3 and add a bit of water. This was very tasty.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

This was a good cornbread. We enjoyed it very much. I followed the directions exactly. I really saved on dishes, though; instead of pouring the batter into a pan I simply baked it in my cast-iron skillet. Worked beautifully!

Whole Wheat Honey Bread
