Bread Pudding Apple Pie

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
No need to put into a pie shell. It's just as good without and reduces the fat/calories.

Light and Airy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
This was indeed light and airy. It definitely had a much lighter texture than a typical cheesecake. Mine turned out great, even though I didn't do the water bath - I just took a chance that it would be okay without it. We topped this with sliced strawberries, and it was a great, light dessert.

Applesauce Cake V

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I was making these for my kids, so I made this into cupcakes and didn't add in the raisins and walnuts; although, I think I would have liked them more had I included these ingredients. But, my kids liked them just as I made them, and they didn't last long in the house. I topped the cupcakes with Allspice Cream Cheese Frosting, also from this site.

Raspberry Cup Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
These came together beautifully, and they were delicious. I did freeze these for several hours before eating, but we preferred eating them when they had softened a bit. So we let them sit out for a few minutes before eating. The raspberry puree is so good on top, and we had extra whipped topping, so we put some of that on as well. I was fortunate enough to have fresh raspberries to use, but this is a recipe that I think would work just as well with frozen.

Beth's Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
These are so good. The cookie is like a little orange cake, but the frosting is what makes these so delicious. The frosting really adds the orange flavor to these cookies. I only made a third of this recipe and ended up with 27 cookies. They lasted about 3 days and were starting to get a little gooey, so I think if you don't have a lot of people to eat these right away, you may want to cut the recipe down.

Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
My son could not have been more happy when I made this cake for his 8th birthday. He is a chocolate lover and loved this cake. I did take Mis7up's idea by using the Kit Kat bars around the edge and filling the top with M&M's. I kept this cake a secret from my son, and when it was brough out, his eyes were as big as golfballs. The cake was beautiful, and more importantly, delicious!!! Will use this recipe again and again when I need a chocolate cake.

Pasta Hot! Hot! Hot!

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
A quick and easy way to doctor up some plain old spaghetti. I was a bit worried this would be too spicy for my kids, but they gobbled it down.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
WOW!!! Wonderful, creamy, flavorful ice cream. The cinnamon really comes through in this. This ice cream is great just plain in a bowl, but is absolutely terrific on a plate of warm apple crisp. We had not planned on having it on the crisp, but about a week after making the ice cream, we had apple crisp for dessert and my husband found 1 scoop of this ice cream left in the freezer. We all had a tiny bite, but lucky him. This was the perfect compliment to the warm crisp.

Easy Pavlova

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
This was easy...and delicious. The true flavor of this dish is whatever you decide to make it. I chose to top our pavlova with whipped cream and a mixture of blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries that I had let sit with a little sugar for a few minutes. The berries were just perfectly ripe and the combination of the berries and the sweet pavlova was perfect. This is a perfect light summer dessert!

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
As one of my kids put it, this frosting would make dirt taste good. This came together perfectly, piped onto the peanut butter cupcakes beautifully, and tasted amazing. Definitely a winning chocolate frosting recipe!

Light Fruit and Nut Granola

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
Love that I can make granola low fat!!! This was a great, easy recipe that would be wonderful with a variety of dried fuits and/or nuts. I chose to use dried cranberries and the tartness was a nice compliment to the sweet granola. I really enjoyed using this in my yogurt and berry parfaits.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2011
Broccoli salad is one of my husband's favorites. I chose this particular recipe because it uses almonds instead of sunflower seeds, which I didn't have. The only change was to omit the red onion, as it is not one of my husband's favorites. This is a great summer BBQ salad.

Lemon-Cream Cheese Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
These are seriously some of the best cupcakes and best frosting we have ever had. And they came out looking fantastic! The frosting is perfect for piping, holding its shape just great. I could not have been happier with this recipe and will for sure be making it again!

No-Guilt Zesty Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
The only change I made was to omit the horseradish, because I don't usually have any. This is a great alternative to the store bought ranch mix and my family especially enjoyed the addition of the bacon bits.

Double Chocolate Sprinkle Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
I cut this recipe in half and omitted the walnuts since my kids don't care for them. These are very good cookies. You get a double dose of chocolate with all of the sprinkles and chocolate chips. These baked up very nicely, not too thick, not too thin. Crispy edges, chewy middles. Of course, my kids like anything with sprinkles, and these were no different. So glad I found this cookie recipe.

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
I left out the green onions since I was preparing this for my kids, and they don't care for onions. The ratio of mayo and spices to the eggs was just perfect. What didn't fit on the sandwiches, we were scooping out of the bowl on crackers!

Lemon Berry Slushy

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
Loved this one. The only problem is that is requires mixing while drinking, or it starts to separate. But, the flavor is excellent. Just the perfect balance between tart and sweet. I used fresh strawberries instead of frozen.

Cherry Berries on a Cloud

This was excellent. Lovely, light dessert. I did cut the recipe in half and baked the meringue in a spring form pan. My family of 5 ate the whole thing in one sitting.

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
If you have ever made the frozen cookie dough balls from this site, you must make these. These are even better with the addition of the toffee bits. The dough was very easy to work with, and I had no problem rolling it into balls. I made the balls and then refrigerated them over night. In the morning, I dipped them in the melted chocolate and topped some with more toffee bits, and others with chocolate jimmies. My family and friends couldn't stop eating these, and the recipe was requested several times. These are perfect for parties. Try this, you won't be disappointed!
