About this Cook
The first 5 years on my own I always worked in restaurants and free delicious food was plentiful, so I never cooked. After University I moved to Korea and got delicious home cooked meals for lunch and cheap food for dinner so cooking still didn't interest me. Now I live in Sydney with my little sister so cooking for two is a great way to spend my nights, especially with the costs of eating out here!
My favorite things to cook
Anything creative, fun, different, and cheap! I'm not a fan of just a meat, potato, and veg. I like unique dishes that make you go "wow". I do prefer to cook vegetarian items for a variety of reasons, but I'm not a strict vegetarian by any means!

Baked Avocado Tacos
The idea is amazing, but mine just didn't hold. I am new to cooking so I may have messed this up, but the coating was just bland and clumpy and didn't brown. However, I changed the toppings and used fresh cilantro, limes, tomatoes, onions, pineapple, lettuce and a bit of tzatziki, sour cream, and salsa topped with cheese. After all of that I put it in my sandwich press and had a crispy unique flavored taco!

Creamy Artichoke Pasta
I didn't think the combination of Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream would make for a good sauce, but it worked perfectly with the marinade from the artichokes. I also my last bit of jarred sun dried tomatoes and their sauce and some frozen spinach and it was awesome!

Quinoa Black Bean Burgers
This was so good! I took some people's advice and added a tad of mushrooms, jarred jalapeno sauce instead of hot sauce, and two eggs with a little extra bread crumbs. I put them in the freezer for a bit because I was afraid they would fall apart. Afterwards I topped them with fried onions, tzatziki, jalapenos, and avocado on a toasted whole wheat bun. I served with baked zucchini chips and it was phenomenal!!
