YUM!! Flacky, tender, though crisp. Light sweet flavor, easy to work with. Fabulous! I was making a double batch and went ahead and upped to servings to 40 because of the other reviews mentioning lack of dough. I wound up with enough leftover dough to make a little tart for sampling (yummy, but it means the original amount would have been sufficient for my 9inch pies top and bottom). I used one stick of butter and the rest crisco in my double batch, and the result was spectacular. (For the recipe as it reads on this page, sub in 1/4 cup butter, or 1/2 stick). Enjoy!
