I am married with a daughter in college, a wonderful husband, and our very important family dog, Muffin. I work full-time. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, and now enjoy taking pictures of the final product. I find myself trying things that I never thought I would and loving them. I enjoy cooking just about everything. I try new recipes all the time and use lots of recipes from here. I like Italian, spicy dishes, cakes and cookies, and breads are a new love for me. I recently started a vegetable garden and enjoy searching and finding recipes to use my bounty with. I'm having a lot of fun growing herbs and finding recipes to use them in. Everything tastes so fresh when using them. Our short growing season is my only downfall with gardening. My mother made tons of cookies and bars for Christmas and I make quite a few myself. Like mother, like daughter I guess. Always lots of good foods for holidays and quality time with our relatives. I love food, so anything that I can make from scratch and have people enjoy is a triumph for me. Most recently it is baking bread. I use the bread machine to make the dough (cheating), but then shape & rise the bread myself. Cinnamon Swirl Bread is my favorite! I'm anxious to try many more fun breads, rolls, etc. I think the funniest one is when I was a teenager making a cake mix. It was angel food and I didn't know what that was and made it in a 9X13 pan. I looked in the oven and saw it rising out of the pan. Didn't know what to do or what it was, so I threw it away.
