Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
This steak marinade was very tasty. It's my new favorite! I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese, but the butter was not bad. Although I made it with horseradish mashed potatoes, so I didn't really need the blue cheese-chive butter. I made everything as specified and cooked the steaks 5 mins on one side and then 4 mins on the other side. I did let them sit for more than 5 mins before cutting. It was wonderful.

Mashed Potatoes with Horseradish

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
LOVED THIS RECIPE!! I saw some other posts that said they weren't flavorful enough. I have to wonder what brand of horseradish they are using. I used a German brand and the flavor was just right! I made this as specified except I did add a little cream to the finished product as I like a little creamier consistency.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
Loved it! Thanks for the recipe. I followed it exactly and used Kenwood's Sauvignon Blanc for the wine sauce. The sauce was so very yummy! It wasn't an overpowering winey taste-it was just right! Even my daughter used it for dipping her bread in! We have so much sauce leftover we were trying to figure out how to use it for our next meal! I did actually have one variation to the recipe. I went to get my cornstarch out and I didn't have any, so I used flour instead and it was fine. I have to add I have never made Chicken Cordon Bleu in a skillet before, but after this it is the only way I will be making it from now on! It was very easy and everyone loved it! A Keeper!

Key West Chicken

Made this as described, and it was bland. I decided to try this as it has lots of good reviews. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us. No one in the family liked it.

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Loved it! Very easy and very tasty. I did not have sage on hand, so I subbed in Thyme, but I will definitely be making them again with sage in the future! I also used a can of low sodium beef broth instead of bothering with the bouillon cubes.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
This had no flavor. I am surprised at all the good reviews it has. We were very disappointed. I made it exactly as stated and the cooking time was far too long. The chicken was overcooked and dry and lacking taste.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
Freaking Amazing!! Moistest turkey ever! I will only cook it this way from here on out! I started brining at 8am the day before Thanksgiving, because I did it in a bag in a roasting pan. First I had the turkey breast down in the brine until late that night and then I turned it over so the other side would sit in the brine overnight. In the morning I took it out of the brine and rinsed it well. I then let it sit in the fridge for about 3 hours until ready to go in the oven. The gravy was super as well. I made a giblet gravy with the pan drippings. Just to note nothing was salty at all and I brined the turkey as stated in the recipe, and it browned up beautifully!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
The only thing bad I can say about this is it didn't make enough!! This recipe is a keeper! I made it with sauteed fresh spinach as one poster suggested and I served it with the Pork Marsala recipe on this website!

Steak Tips with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
This was a big hit. I made it exactly as the recipe stated and I used a $12 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. The sauce is amazing!! Don't rush the thickening of the sauce and it will be perfect.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
I really like this recipe, however, I give it 4 stars because I think the title is incorrect. As many posters have stated they lack a strong taste of peanut butter. I was actually going to make them as many have suggested using 1 cup of peanut butter, but I only had a 1/2 cup on hand, so I made them exactly as the recipe is written. If they were titled Chocolate Chip Cookies then they would have 5 stars, as I think the hint of peanut butter makes them a nice twist on a chocolate chip cookie recipe. I will probably use this recipe every time now when I want chocolate chip cookies! Thanks!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
Family enjoyed this recipe. I made it exactly as stated and the sauce was very good! I only wish the chicken had absorbed more of the flavor, as without drowning in sauce, the chicken was a bit plain. Even better leftover.

Slow-Cooked Chili

Love it! I made it as stated and it was very good. I made a few adjustments the next time and it was the bomb! The 2nd time I made it with Italian sausage, I added an extra can of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes as I like it with a little more juice. Thanks for the great recipe!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Very nice flavors! I made this almost exactly as stated. I did use fresh mushrooms and added them with about 30 mins left in the simmering. I also added the wine with about 10 mins left to bring it to lite boil. Served over wide egg noodles. The family loved it! Thanks for the great recipe! It's a keeper!

Aaron's Missouri Burger

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
LOVE these burgers! I gave it 4 stars only because I think the pepper flakes should be omitted or at the very least reduced by 1/2. They were too spicy - my lips burned! However, I did like the sweet taste these burgers had, so I made them again without the pepper flakes. This is the only way I'll make burgers from now on - tasty! 5 starts without the pepper flakes!!
