Wow! Very impressed. I've been hooked on Marie Callenders pot pies and this is very close. Of course it doesn't have the extra flavorings like MSG and all so it's still not QUITE as good to me but I'll take this healthier dish waaay before the frozen unhealthy ones. I didn't used carrots or celery since I didn't have them on hand but honestly I don't think it would make a difference. If you have them great, if not then it's STILL great. I did chop up fresh garlic to saute along with the onion since we are garlic lovers and used celery salt instead of adding any extra salt to the dish. It was PERFECT. I've made pot pies before but the recipe always called for cream of something soup. I will NEVER use soup again! You can't beat the homemade broth from the chicken and making the gravy from scratch. It didn't take that long and this is something you could do in stages. You cook the chicken the day before and save the broth in a big jar and refrigerate and chop up the onions. That day all you'd need to do is make the gravy. It would take a max time of 15 min of prep and then cook time. Easy! :-D

Very good! Followed recipe exactly. Used Splenda brown sugar.

I omitted the sugar and added a little sugar free sweet and sour mix. WONDERFUL! :-)
