Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
super yummy! I added paprika and Cayenne. I meant to decrease the salt and oil but forgot. I followed other's suggestions and put everything ina a bag and shook it up. The potatoes weren't very crispy but the flavor was amazing.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
This salad was delicious. Like other reviewers I reduced the sugar in half. I thought this was more dressing than I needed. Next time I will just toast the almonds in the oven and skip the butter.

Savory Roasted Root Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
I forgot the garlic and it would have been better if I had remembered it but I found the flavor to be very one dimensional - thyme. It was just OK and I won't be making it again.

Easy Tilapia with Wine and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2013
I don't understand all of the positive reviews or what I could be doing wrong. I find this to be very bland. I made it twice. First time, followed the recipe with a little less butter and canned tomatoes, pino grigio and baked it. Second time, sauteed some portabella and onions with garlic, used much more salt and pepper, doubled the garlic, quadrupled the basil, used a fresh tomato, chardonnay and broiled. It's rather shocking how flavorless it is with so many great ingredients. Still wasn't enough salt. Squeezed fresh lemon on top, which helped but still, not tasty.

Moroccan Tagine

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
This is a great recipe. I gave it 4 stars because I modified the recipe based on the reviews. I used only a small amount of chicken. I thought the chicken was dry and not great. I think this recipe would be awesome with lamb. I used an extra can of chick peas, added a teaspoon of cumin and cinnamon. I agree with others that this dish is actually better the next day. It's really easy and delicious. I will definitely make this again.

Spicy Bok Choy in Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
This was absolutely awesome! I ended up dumping the excess sauce over my other dish as well. I made this recipe exactly as it's written and wouldn't change a thing. Delicious!

A Jerky Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
It was OK but I wouldn't make it again. For me the all spice was too strong and I didn't find the flavors to be anything special.

Disney's Ratatouille

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Oh my garlic! Way too much garlic. I didn't like this recipe at all. I can't understand what I could have done wrong but this was not good at all. I have so many left over veggies I will try a different ratatouille recipe with the left overs.

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
This is a yummy and super easy recipe although I admit I did not follow it exactly. I did not use fresh tomatoes and used 2 cans of basil and oregano diced tomatoes. Based on other reviews, I drained one of the cans of tomatoes but would not drain it next time. Next time I will make it with a 3rd can of tomatoes. I did add some sugar to make the tomatoes less tangy. I cooked the chicken in the garlic and onion but I found it to be bland and will consider making it with no chicken or marinating the chicken.

Marinated Beet Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
I love this beet salad and have made it quite a few times. The only thing I have changed over time is to make it less sweet. I always make it with a sugar substitute. I have used Sweet n Low and splenda and find it very sweet. It's so easy and I love having it around for a snack.

Spicy Basil Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
This is really tasty and quick and easy. I ran out of Oyster Sauce - used about 3.5 tbsp so I used some tips from other reviewers and added some water. I would have liked more oyster sauce but would still add some water. I used twice as much garlic and left out the garlic salt. I used lots of basil and served over rice vermicelli. I think I would prefer it with rice next time. Really good.

Slow Cooker Chili II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
This recipe is really good. I gave it 4 stars because I added more chili powder and cumin during the last couple of hours to make it more flavorful. I sauteed the veggies and some seasoning with the beef and added some frozen corn. I served it over spaghetti with some shredded cheddar, light sour cream and jalapenos. Overall easy and tasty.

I could not find spicy bean sauce or dry sherry so used garlic bean sauce and cooking sherry instead. I thought it was dry and did not like the flavor.

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
It was OK. I followed the other suggestions for boiling the beef so that it is smooth texture. Too much chili powder or something. I read lots of people rating this on an altered recipe - reducing this, increasing that. If you follow the recipe it is not that good. I give it 3 stars because it gives you a start if you want to play and alter it to your tastes.

Moroccan-Style Stewed Chicken

Delicious and super easy to make. I followed the recipe and added a diced sweet potato. I also served with bread as others recommended which was a good idea.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
I love this soup! Like other reviewers, I did not add any water and substituted an extra can of chicken broth. I used low sodium broth, added a can of black beans and did not add the salt called for in the recipe. This recipe is so much more fun if you cook your own tortillas! Serving with fresh cilantro is a must. I cooked this for friends and they LOVED it!
