About this Cook
I am a career mother of three. I have a wonderful boyfriend who, by trade is also a chef. We love to cook, sometimes together, sometimes surprising each other with something new. Getting the kids involved is fun and easy too. They love to explore with recipes. We're a very picky family when it comes to food choices, but we have a wide variety of tastes which makes it easy to please everyone..... most of the time. If there's a meat serving one of the kids don't particularly care for, a side dish can almost always serve as their main course.
My favorite things to cook
We enjoy Italian entrees mostly. But an old fashioned casserole also has a place in our kitchen and is always satisfying. Breakfast dishes are usually a weekend thing due to our schedules, but we make room for them as a dinner as well. Homemade soups are also a hit, mix it up with a sea food dish here and there, and we're satisfied.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our family is small, but I always seem to overdo it for these holiday meals. I have to have's always fill my table..... Just like grandma used to make!!

Kickin' Collard Greens
I have been craving greens and tried this recipe last night.... I am not a spice fan, but decided to follow as written, except I omitted the bacon (vegetarian), They were delicious! I prepared the leftovers for lunch today as a soup, with croutons and romano cheese and fresh italian bread! Almost like spicy wedding soup! Hit the spot 2 days in a row! Loved it!!

Pancakes I
Tried this recipe for my kids, they loved it! For a little variety, try adding 1/2 cup chocolate chips!
