Thai Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
As I was carefully preparing all the fresh ingredients I taste tested along the way. It was absolutely awesome... then came time to add the peanut sauce. Once I did that it all went south. All the fresh crisp vegetables were over powered by the peanut flavor. I do have to say, that it did have a nice little 'after burn" but not too much. It was the only thing you could taste beside peanut. I'll make it again, just without the peanut sauce... I'll sub more chilli and add lime. I definately thought the cucumbers were an interesting touch. Probably tasted really good if it hadn't been for the peanut flavor.

Ground Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
First time making and I added a can of tomato sauce at the on set. A table spoon of italian seasoning was too much. Next time I will cut the italian seasoning down to half a teaspoon and replace with roasted garlic seasoning. Additionally, I pre-cooked the ground beef. Glad I did, I think it would have been too greasy otherwise. I did add a dab of horseradish which gave it just that needed kick. The spicy combined with the sweet of the cabbage was a good mix.

Tomato and Pepper Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
I'm not big on vinigar flavor, so having said that a 3 star rating is pretty good for me. I did add a tablespoon of olive oil and let sit over night in fridge. Veggies were crisp and flavorful. I'll probably make again.

Elegant Pheasant

Even the 4 yr old grandson liked it. It was pretty easy and very tasty. The pheasant wasn't dry at all, even having to bake for an hour. Excellent!

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus Spears with Tomatoes and Taleggio Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
I prepared ahead of time to take to deer camp. Cooked them in foil. Probably should have opened the foil to allow the bacon to crisp up a bit, but had limited space. Had great flavor and the presentation was beautiful.

Was really mushy and took way to long to bake. I served with syrup and it still had no flavor.

Absolutely awesome! I did use 1 cup half and half and one cup milk. Froze it and took it up north for Deer Camp.
