Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2014
M-I-L made this and it was excellent. She added one apple and 2 pears on the hard side. I would eat this as a meal.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2014
I made a mistake and followed the advice of other people and added the 1/2 c extra flour and 1/2 tsp baking soda. The cookies did not spread out. The batter was so dry they kept the shape of the scoop I used before I put them in the oven. I had to flatten them out near the end to get them into the round shape. If you add more flour don't add much. I don't know if you would want to add more baking soda. I'll have to try these again later on and see what works best.

Juicy Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
I marinated the rib-eyes all day while I was at work. When we got home my husband threw the steaks on the grill and cooked them to medium. They were mouth watering. We baked potatoes and I made a salad to go with it. It was as if we were at a steak house.

German Sweet Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
Would be nice to rewrite the recipe and OVER emphasize that the eggs need to be room temp for the icing instead of having to find out the hard way or sift through a hundred reviews to find that out. The cake fell. I have two concave discs. This was supposed to be for my husbands birthday but its pretty much ruined. I might try this again someday but the ingredients were expensive and it took way too much effort. So, maybe not.

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
Don't follow the recipe, half the sugar and paprika and keep the lid off and this is very, VERY good. Don't lose any of that liquid in the pan, you might want to pour it into a wine glass and drink it. Yummmm!

Creamy Vanilla Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
I didn't have marshmallow cream like many other fruit dips ask for so I tried this. It could be a little sweeter but other than that it's a good dip.

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2012
I like zucchini so this was a good dish. I used reduced calorie cream cheese and ff milk and it was still really rich. The rest of the family wasn't that excited about it.

They're not called Buckeye Balls. They are Buckeyes. They are always rated a 5 in my book. Signed, Ohio Lady

Chicken, Cheese, and Wine

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Really easy and oh so good. I didn't put the cheese on it and it was still really good. I don't use mushrooms from the jar because of the texture issue. I used fresh and they worked out fine. I cut the recipe in half and had lots of sauce which was really good on mashed red potatoes.

Good, easy recipe. I used corn starch instead of flour like other reviews stated. I would make this again.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
There is a very similar recipe using angel hair pasta on this site. I feel like feta is best used in small doses. I made the squash in this recipe but had to almost double the cooking time.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
Pretty good, like one reviewer said don't add that extra tsp of baking powder. I wouldn't add that extra 1/2 tsp of salt either. The butter makes a crispy crust which my husband loved.

Tuna Rice Puff

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
It was relatively easy to make, but I got a lot of pans and utensils dirty getting it all together. You could almost skip the baking step if you forgot to turn on the oven:) My husband and preteen liked it, the toddler has a food texture issue and wouldn't touch it. I liked it.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I had never made this before and I was skeptical. But, the fam loved it. I had lettuce, tomatoes, and guacomole on the side with more chips that were left over in the bag. The chips in the casserole were not crunchy, but I suspected they wouldn't be before I even started.

I made this tonight. It was really good. I wish I had some of the marinade mixture set aside to serve on the side for dipping on the plates.

Tomatoed Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2010
The house smells wonderful because I made this in the crock pot today. I made this pretty much to recipe but without the mushrooms and my husband really loved it. We had it in tortillas with sour cream, cheese, guacomole lettuce. Good recipe Amy_S.
