Let me preface this by saying that I did change the method in which this recipe was put together, but did not alter any of the ingredients or quantities. The bad reviews for this made me not want to try it, but I thought I would give it a chance anyway.
It seemed odd to me to layer the bottom of the baking dish with garlic, oil and red pepper flakes so instead I sliced the chicken breast into 1" strips and browned them in the olive oil along with the garlic. I sprayed the baking dish with Pam and then added the chicken/garlic mix and then followed the recipe as written. I also crushed the croutons into pieces slightly larger then crumbs.
The flavor was phenomenal, however, I also used homemade spaghetti meat sauce in place of the marinara, which may have enhanced the flavor as well.
