Aussie Chicken

This was good. Next time I make it I will probably tweak the honey mustard sauce since it was a bit on the sweet side. Also, the bacon did not cook at all in the oven so it likely needs to be precooked prior to layering on the chicken.

Goulash Supreme

I've been trying to find a goulash recipe like the one my Mom made when we were kids and this was the closest I've found. I liked it and will try some small tweaks next time to try and get it just a bit closer to her recipe, but this is a definite keeper. I didn't change anything.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I loved this! This is the 3rd potato soup recipe from AR that I've tried and this one was by far the best. I followed the recipe as written with the exception of leaving out the celery and replacing it with a dash of celery salt. Will definitely make this again and will try other meat/veggie combos.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

I really liked this and thought it was really simple to make. The only change I made was to omit the salt since the cream soups tend to have quite a bit to begin with. I didn't think it needed it either. I'll definitely do this again and may take the advice of the other reviewer who suggested using polish sausage in place of the ham.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This was good, but I'm not sure it is worth the fat and calories. I would be curious to see how the flavor would be if it were to cook a bit longer allowing the spices to meld better. The only changes I made was 50% half and half and 50% cream and then I chopped the chicken instead of leaving it as breasts. I'm not sure I would make this again unless I could find a way to reduce the fat and calories.

Spanish Rice Bake

This was pretty good. It reminded me of an enchilada without the tortilla. My kids (6 and 3) didn't care for it though. The hubs thought it was just ok. If I make it again I will probably add some kind of spice for heat and maybe mix cheese throughout instead of just on top.

Flavor was good, but there was an awful lot of liquid which I ended up cooking down. I do think the potatoes need to be cut very thick as they will fall apart if too thin.

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

I liked this and followed it exactly as written. I think the next time I make this I will either omit or reduce the lemon pepper because I thought it was a bit on the salty side. My husband loved it and asked that it be added to our rotation. Thank you for the recipe.

Monkey Bread I

My Mom made us monkey bread as kids, but has since passed away and I don't have her recipe. I was trying to find one that is close and this was it. It isn't exactly the one she made for us, but it was close and my 3 and 6 year old girls had fun helping me. I think the one my Mom made had us dip each piece in butter and then the cinnamon/sugar mix so the top wasn't all gooey. I may attempt to do it that way next time, but the flavor was still yummy. Thank you

Spaghetti Squash I

Simply amazing. I've never had spaghetti squash, but have heard good things about it and wanted to try it out. I saw this recipe that looked really yummy and it was! This is such an amazing vegetable and I am so excited to try it out with other sauces. The only change I made in this recipe was to use mushrooms in place of the olives. I also added salt and pepper. I definitely recommend this as a pasta substitute.

Pumpkin Bars I

These turned out good, but were more of a cake than a bar. The only change I made was to use butter in place of shortening because I didn't have that on hand. I topped it with a cream cheese frosting with a dash of pumpkin pie spice added.

Chicken Paprikash

The sauce from this recipe is out of this world good. I loved it. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the chicken without the sauce is super bland. Otherwise I loved it. I did use chicken breast in place of bone-in chicken and replaced the water with chicken broth. Everything else is as stated in the recipe. I have never had chicken paprikash before so I can't speak to the authenticity, but this recipe is great.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Good. I followed the recipe as written. After the chicken was cooked I removed it from the skillet and added the pesto to the pan with the sundried tomatoes and warmed it up a bit and then added back in the chicken.
