I surprised myself with this one. I think I just cooked the best burgers ever on the stovetop. I started with a mix of about 2/3 grass fed ground beef (we order 1/2 a cow every year) and 1/3 ground pork from the supermarket. I put a large cast iron griddle on 2 of my stovetop…
MORE
I am a product manager for a website and love to cook (more accurately I love to eat). I love the pacific northwest and finally settled here after living in TX, ROK, CO, KS, and IL.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking steaks, grill, stir fries, curries, using fresh ingredients, and anything from the many good cookbooks I've been given as gifts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Vegetables from cans, meat from cans, and overcooking the heck out of everything.
My cooking triumphs
I've cooked some pretty mean jambalayas and once made a lasagna that brought tears to my relatives' eyes (in a good way).
My cooking tragedies
I disappoint myself any time I overcook a steak. I've also had some bad holiday turkeys. Why do we cook turkey anyway...it doesn't taste THAT good.
