Browned Butter Vegetables with Almonds

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
Another great recipe from Wilemon! I did cut the butter a bit, but didn't change anything else. We loved it! I think you could use any vegetable you want, but I loved this combination. I would probably steam carrots a few minutes first if I was using them. You really should try her Delectable Marinated Chicken, here on AR (boneless thighs)it is so good!

PHILADELPHIA® Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
Fruit Pizza is a family favorite, but I try to keep it simple. I use a disposable, foil pan, if I am taking this to a BBQ and put it in a pizza box. The directions here seem a little time consuming, lining the pan with foil, flipping the whole thing and straining the marmalade. I just melt a little apple jelly to brush on mine to make the fruit all shiny. Great recipe!

Lemon-Basil Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: May 17, 2014
I've just starting eating quinoa about a year ago and found this to be a refreshing change from all of the usual salads we often eat. I discovered it on The Buzz and I'm so happy I did!

California Rice Salad

Reviewed: May 13, 2014
I absolutely loved this! They were giving away samples of this at my local grocery store. I promptly bought all the ingredients & ran home & made it. Now I make it with pineapple tidbits ... just smaller bites, haha. I love rice & bacon but try to eat each, only once or twice a month. Spice it up if you think it needs it, but try it!

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

Reviewed: May 10, 2014
Loved them! Not being deep fried, they were so much healthier than the fish taco recipe I was using. Two tablespoons of cayenne pepper seemed like a lot so I cut down on it to suit our tastes.

Fish Tacos

I can't get enough of these! If you're pressed for time bagged coleslaw mix works and is prettier too with the purple cabbage. I did add cilantro because it just goes so well with Mexican dishes.

So, so good! Use less sugar if you want and make plenty copies of the recipe because you're going to need them. Thank you Ann!

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli

Reviewed: May 9, 2014
This is absolutely delicious! I love fresh vegetables and find that they are so much better when roasted. I used to steam them all the time with a little bit of butter and this is so much better. It's now one of my favorite ways to eat broccoli. Thank you for the simple, yet wonderful recipe!

Chocolate Caramel Candy

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
Yum! It's pretty rich so I save it for Christmas. Making 8 dozen means plenty for gift giving. Just know before you get started that all four layers need to be chilled before adding the next one. Of course it will take some to get together. Just do something else in between layers. Everyone loves this one. Thank you!

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
I think this is excellent as is, but whenever I cook rice, I use my rice cooker and cook quite a bit of rice. So the second time I made it, I used leftover rice. Although rice from the rice cooker is soft and fluffy, once it's leftover, it cools off in big clumps. I rinse it out in a colander with cool water, let in drain while I proceed with the recipe as follows. It's easy to throw in a few leftover veggies or meat to your rice and it's all good.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2014
Excellent recipe with a few modifications. Just drizzle a little oil and cut the butter a bit. I also add my fresh garlic near the end just to get the flavor but not overcook the garlic. I find it amazing how so few ingredients can make something so amazing! Oh, plus it was so easy!

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
A little labor intensive, but worth all the chopping. The most difficult part was peeling the squash. I cut it into quarters, stood it on end and used my sharpest knife and cut straight down the outside to peel. I roast at 450, tenting if necessary. Just use common sense with the cooking times for the vegetables you are cooking. I think the submitter has a great combination as is, but I see where we all like to add our favorites. With dried spices, remember to use 1/3 the amount, for the amount of fresh. Next time I will use less potatoes & more sweet potatoes, (personal preference) I made again adding summer squash, mixing in at the very end. I love all vegetables but didn't care for zucchini in it. Even cooking for a very few minutes I found it to be too mushy for me.

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2014
Although I love fresh green beans and cherry tomatoes, I wasn't too crazy about trying this one. . I didn't think I would like cooked cherry tomatoes with green beans. Shows you how little I know. The taste was phenomenal. I did make some minor changes. I prefer to steam my vegetables and I love fresh garlic over garlic salt. I didn't heat the tomatoes in the sauce, I just put them on top of the cooked beans and gently folded in the sauce. I didn't want them to turn to mush. So yummy! I didn't want to share!

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2014
This is so good! I have been eating more and more fresh vegetables rather than just having them as a side dish with dinner. I thought the garlic chili sauce was just another ingredient to turn something hot & spicy. Boy, was I wrong, again! The seasoning ingredients, blended together were just so flavorful mixed in with the fresh green beans. This is a very special find here on allrecipes and one that will be enjoyed often. I'm anxious to try it with other vegetables such asparagus and broccoli.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
I loved this cookie! I used my hand mixer for mixing the butter and the sugars. I changed to a big wooden spoon for the flour addition because I was worried about over mixing. I followed the submitters directions exactly and knowing my oven and how I like my cookies, I baked them for 9 minutes exactly and they were perfect. Lightly browned on top, not overly brown on the bottoms, crispy edges, and soft inside, but not gooey. I will pitch all my other chocolate chip cookie recipes. Thank you Dora!

Creamed Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2014
I looked at this recipe for a few days before I finally decided to try it. I was so sure I wouldn't like it with of all the fat but I was so wrong! It was so good and very easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly and decided as long as I save it for special occasions I should be okay. This is a keeper!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2014
If you are a cauliflower lover, please try this recipe. It is absolutely delicious! This one definitely has been made over & over again in my house. I roast in a large baking dish so I can spread it in a single layer taking 15-20 minutes in my oven. When I take it out to broil it, I put it in a oven proof serving dish and sprinkle on the parmesan and parsley. Yum!!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2014
This was excellent! Other than adding fresh garlic, I didn't deviate from the recipe, and it was wonderful. It was so flavorful, moist and tender ... and let's not forget easy. I did marinate it overnight and served it with Jasmine rice and a crisp salad. Nothing fancy, just a wonderful meal!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2014
This was really good! The only thing I did different was to remove the roast and chill the whole pot outside for about 30 minutes. In my weather it got really cold, really quick, and hardened all of that fat, making it really easy to spoon it off. While it was chilling, I finished preparing dinner. Then I brought the juice to simmer in a large saucepan and thickened it with a cornstarch & broth mixture. It made a wonderful gravy to serve on top of rice along with a crispy salad. I will make it again, maybe adding some vegetables near the end of the cooking time. Yum!
