Oven Stew II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
So good and so easy! Why didn't someone tell me 20 years ago that you can make great stew in the oven? I made no changes except for adding peas late because I wasn't sure I was going to use them.

Tex-Mex Chicken and Rice Casserole Recipe

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
Great, easy, comforting casserole that came out perfect. The only thing I diid differently was to rinse the chile peppers to ensure it would be on the mild side to suit my family. They loved it. Will make many tines in the future.

Shiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
Great, easy, beautiful! I poured it over a molded chocolate bunny cake and it looks like a giant chocolate Easter Bunny. It even gives you just enough time to smoothe it over missed spots.

Banana Caramel Pie II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Delicious! Easy! Wow! I was intrigued by this idea and had to try it, but afraid of an explosion, so I used the crock pot method. It really does turn into caramel and makes a GREAT pie. I bake alot and love when you find those rare recipes that are so easy and so good.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Perfect, as is. I've been trying for sometime to make a carrot cake everyone would love. This is it. I made a double layer cake and put the nuts on the sides of the iced cake and piped the traditional carrots on top. My family said, "You finally got it right."

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
Amazing! I actually liked it better the next day when it was more frozen. It would have been easier to serve outside of the pan. I think I will make it on a cake board in a pan next time so I can lift it out for a prettier presentation. Great as is, though.

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
Ridiculously Good! You don't need to change anything. I did bake on parchment, but that's it. Also melted butter and sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on some of them. My family saie, "Oh, NO, please don't make too many" because you just can't say no to them.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Looks like an ordinary recipe, but tastes perfect. I didn't cook the meatballs in the sauce since some of my family are vegetarians. Froze it all separately for Christmas Eve dinner. Then I will put one pot on with meatballs, and the other without.

Followed recipe exactly and packed it up with some other mexican dishes for college daughter to take to campus for their "TV night". Funny thing is, this was the favorite dish and it is ridiculously easy. I will definitely make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Great Recipe! Did only 2 things differently, but am sure it would be fine without: I substituted broth for water and added a little poultry seasoning. A great comfort food recipe for those of us with no time to spend the day cooking. I think it is company worthy.

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Great! I added the 5th egg just in case reviews were correct, but that is all I did differently. It came out beautiful. My husband didn't know he liked quiche until this recipe. With a vegetarian daughter, I am always trying to find something that appeals to all. Very good!

A friend gave me a similar recipe years ago and I had lost it. If you blink, they are all gone. Be sure to hide one for yourself or you won't get any. Ages 3 to 80 love them.
