Stuffed Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
This turned out great for me. I did pound the meat and removed what I could of the connecting membrane. It was almost, but not quite, fork tender. I made it exactly as the recipe says to, but next time I am going to experiment with a different stuffing and seasonings. Also, I think I could have taken it out of the oven a bit sooner and next time I will check the temp of the meat sooner. Very good and will be making many more times.

Wedding Cake Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
Followed the recipe as written. I found this icing very time consuming and had diffuculty getting it to the right consistency. Very disappointed in the results. Could not get the icing smooth on my cake, and I have done that before easily with other frostings. Tasted all right, but not great. I will be a bit embarrassed by the way my cake looks, but I don'[t have time to redo it. Will never use again and don't recommend it.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
Made exactly according to recipe. Husband and son liked it, and it was exceptionally easy, so I gave it 4 stars. After eating it with the bun and provelone cheese, they went back to the pot and took another forkful and claimed that it was better without the bun. I am not much of a beef eater, so to me it was just okay, not the deliciousness I was expecting after reading other reviews. Not sure if I will make again.

Quick Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
Good and easy. I would highly recommend for use in any recipe calling for alfredo sauce. I double the amount if I am using it for a lasagna. Also, I added more garlic salt. Very, very good.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
The nice thing about this stew is that I could put it in the slow cooker and not think about it until dinner time. The stew itself tasted fine, but it had no special characteristics beyond that. It tasted like every other stew I have made. So it gets 4 stars for being easy.

Delicious and very easy to make. The only ingredient you might not have on hand are the raspberries.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
I made these tonight for my husband to take to work for his buddies tomorrow, and he ate 2 of them, and had to restrain himself from eating more. They are very good, and very easy. Followed the recipe exactly and did not use paper liners, just greased muffin tin.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
Followed recipe exactly except for maybe a half cup more sauce, due to other reviews. I thought this dish was very geasy, and though my family liked it, I don't think I will make again.

Caramel Macchiato Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Not only delicious, but a beautiful, rich color to go along with the rich flavor of this bread. A wonderful change from regular banana bread. Very easy to put together. Mine baked exactly for 60 minutes to doneness. Thank you, Dianne, for creating this unique and delicious recipe.

Chinese Style Sesame Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
I can't believe how good this sauce is! I just made it, ahead of time for dinner, and I can't wait until my family gets to eat it. I didn't have chili paste or fresh garlic, so I subbed with 1 tsp. sriracha sauce and 1/4 tsp. of garlic powder. If you like Chinese food, you have to try this!

BBQ Pork Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
This was a very good way to use up leftover pork. I see in the reviews that some people did not use the dill pickles. Use them! I actually wish I would have put a few more on, because they added to the flavor of this dish. Easy to make, too.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
In spite of me being an experienced bread baker, and in spite of all the rave reviews, I can barely give this 3 stars, but as one person, I don't want to affect the rating too much. I followed the directions exactly, which it appears no one else does, and I was lucky I didn't crack a tooth on this pizza crust. It turned out flat and hard. I read the reviews again to see what "I" did wrong, and I see that there is a lot of changing, adjusting and fussing to get this crust just right. Will not make again.

Bellepepper's Orzo and Wild Rice Salad

This is one of those dishes that when you put the first bite in your mouth, you have a moment of - oohhhhhh...mmmmmm, what is this heavenly stuff? It is absolutely delicious. So glad you posted the recipe, Bellepepper!

Lazy Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
I am giving this five stars because I'm sure people who like this style of mac and cheese would love it. It was very good and was enjoyed, however we prefer a creamier type mac and cheese.

Excellent! Easy and delicious. Made with ingredients you usually have in your kitchen. Tastes like what you might have in a restaurant.

Reuben Sandwich II

Absolutely delicious! I could eat one of these every day. As good as what I get at my local restaurant. I honestly can't believe I made a reuben that turned out so great. Thank you for posting this.

Round Steak and Gravy II

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
My guys were crazy about this. I served it with egg noodles. I made it in the slow cooker, but I will not do that next time. I took the meat out to thicken the gravy a bit, ended up having to transfer the gravy to another saucepan to accomplish what I wanted, and I ended up getting too many dishes dirty. Also, I will be a bit more meticulous in removing the fat. But the recipe was excellent and I am told that I must make it again.

Perfect Cheesecake Everytime

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
I'm shocked. I actually made a cheesecake that did not crack or turn too brown, etc., etc. All I did was follow the directions and it is wonderful. No water bath or babying in any way. Thank you so much for this recipe.

Torta Rustica

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
This recipe looks spectacular, but despite having so many ingredients, it doesn't have much good taste. I know, that sounds crazy. Also, it is very work intensive. I followed the recipe exactly. I will not make this again. I will stick with Ham and Onion Pie.

Peasant Bread

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
I tried this bread recipe just for fun, but didn't have the proper bowls to bake it in. I used two 9" cake pans instead. The bread turned out beautifully, but not very high because of the pans I used. I decided to cut the whole thing in half through the middle, and make a huge sandwich with ham, salami, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, etc. I cut it into 4 pieces and my guys loved the big sandwich! The homebaked bread made it extra good. I will make this simple and versatile recipe again, definitely.
